Anyone know what size the threaded bung is on the charge pipe?
Apparently I didn't notice that I didn't have a bolt in it, or it's come out - which I'm guessing has been causing the CEL I've been chasing..

By chasing I've removed the downpipe.. removed the jb4... still getting CEL for air...

the hole in the charge pipe would explain it as the bmw tech said "you have a hole in your chargepipe"

It's a 1/8th NPT bung plug, you can find one at any hardware store. They ship loose and must be tightened before installing. Fortunately it's a tapered thread so it can only slip outwards rather than inwards but if left untightened before installing they can definitely loosen up a bit.

Put a little Loctite blue on there before installing the plug so it won't back out.

No need for the lock-tite really, it just needs to be tightened before installed.

Vsrf charge pipe install

After installing my charge pipe I had a boost leak that was easily heard on WOT. I checked all connections and tighten down the meth bung. After doing all that I still was getting a boost look and looked around more and found that there was a second meth bung that was missing the screw. I made this post to hopefully help someone who might over look this simple solution that I did lol.

Glad you found the leak, please remember that these bungs ship loose and will rattle out unless they're tightened prior to install. We have a couple bungs headed your way

I'm not doubting the VSRF's quality, but the literal unbeatable pricing has me a bit skeptical.

Ive been searching through the forums for people's opinions, and I've come to the conclusion that I should just make a dedicated thread to that before I decide to purchase anything.

If the products are as good or nearly as good, and reliable, then it sounds like the company for me.

Anyone have any opinions and/or personal testimonies they can give?

Thanks
Funny because I saw VRSF as an upgade lol I was going to do the FTP combo kit and decided to upgrade to VRSF.

Thus far the pipe seems good I'm stage 1+ intercooler.

I have the VRSFA 5 HD intercooler. It's working great. And I have the cat-less downpipe. Downpour I bought used from here, going on almost three years with it. Intercooler about 3 months old. I personally love the products. I personally don't see a need for paying more for a downpipe unless you go high flow.

The IC, price will depend on what you want out of it. Vrsf is great for daily driving. If you plan to go upgraded turbos or track you might want to look into other companies.

I went with a BMS charge pipe because at the time it was on sale for cheaper then the VRSF but nonetheless, I would of went VRSF. A lot of people have had issues with fitment issues with the charge pipe and it intercooler but as far as I know they have fixed those issues and you can always reach out to Tiago from VRSF and talk with him.

Other companies are great too, but I'm like you I just wanted to save money and have a simple daily. Just my 2 cents! Hope this helps
