OK, so finally I can update this..... with the results of my ongoing brake project in conjunction with Vagbremtechnic
To confirm, this is a pair of F10 M5 6 pot calipers fitted onto F3x chassis with a custom radial bracket. Pads are genuine BMW M5 items, and the discs are M2 Competition 400mm. Pedal feel is fine, and the brakes have only done 150 miles so far, so are still being bedded in, but initial feel is very good. Pics: |

That's a nice OE+ brake setup there sir! It looks a bit unbalanced with that massive 6-pot up front and the stock 2-pot out back. A better balance visually (probably functionally too?) would be the original 4-pot up front moved out back.

Piston sizes are all very well matched though as has been identified by the numbers posted by racingbrake. |

Thanks!
No mega updates - still planning on sorting out the 4 pot CCB caliper rears with 380mm M2 comp rear discs - that will be the next big mod. I've just had the whole front end painted - bonnet, bumper and wings blended - along with the mirror covers. Car looks like new again |

I've loved reading your build thread, thank you! Particularly like the big brake and wheel mods especially using OEM parts from other models. My last track car was a Cupra R with Ferrari 360 Modena Brembo's up front and plenty of other parts filched from the S3 before that.
This is my first ever Bimmer, I've always been a VAG man after my Ford RS days so please forgive my ignorance with some of the acronyms and abbreviations. I fell in love with the F30 body shape and styling and bought my F31 two weeks ago and I've already started modding Couple of questions if you don't mind, which H&R springs are they? I'm presuming that with using the F80 M3 wheels, no spacers were required? When you were running the 20" wheels, what was the ride like? Did you change back to 19's due to the ride quality and/or the state of the roads up north? Absolutely loving the dash conversion, what would I need to purchase to make that happen? I have the HK sound, large screen display with Android OS. I'm waiting for a vGate iCar Pro to arrive and was going to purchase BimmerCode as it seems to be a popular choice. I have a 330d xDrive. Thanks again. |

Were you able to fit the 275/40/18 rear 513s without fender rolling?

Got my VS-5RS delivered this week. Ordered via Tegiwa as they are the UK distributors for APEX, but still got great customer service from APEX directly with all my questions and queries.
Specs are 19x9 ET30 and 19x10 ET40 - so essentially the same as my current 437m’s. I’ll be switching my tyres across too, so I’ll be running these with 245/35 and 265/35 MPS4s. Quality seems great, they are very light and the finish is really good. I think I’ll be going with BMW floating centres for a more OEM+ finish. Concavity seems much better in person that photos show, I’d say that they are as deep as 437m’s if not a little deeper! Pics: |

Love this build, looks great!
Any plans to install the rest of the M Performance aero? Or is the car too low for the lip and side blades?

Beautiful wheels and build! APEX wheels give you the BBS look but also great quality at a fraction of the cost. I have their EC-7s on my M Coupe but would love a set of these new forged offerings.
