Thanks for that, other shift points have smoothed out some. 1st to 2nd at slow speeds is still much the same but there has been an over all drive-ability improvement.

Has anyone ever experienced what feels like a double bump in a high gear around peak torque when you tip into the throttle? It feels like something is slipping . I have recently flashed both transmission flash and stage 1 93 ron OTS, everything else is stock

Would like to hear some recent feedback from folks who got the BM3 TCU flash.

Well, other than being a year old, it's been fine for me. I did not have the paddle shifter issues as other people stated above. It clamps harder when shifting, but I don't think it's anything which hurts the transmission, in fact I think it's better than the soft stock TCU load. It pushed me into the 3.9 second range from low 4's on Stg 1, CP/FMIC (no downpipe). I have 47K on my 2015 335i xDrive and other than having some weird "only BMW knows why" A/C unit flash update done, I haven't had any issues knock-wood.

I should mention that I flashed the TCU back to OEM one time for it's final BMW service. I did get some trans error which I couldn't "clear" with neither BM3 nor my two other obd2 scanners. To resolve this, I reloaded the TCU flash and drove about 100ft around my cul-de-sac and back into my driveway. Hooked up BM3 and removed again, then clicked clear all codes, and it was gone. None of the scanners found it again. Who knows, maybe something didn't remove itself correctly the first time I clicked return to OEM. Installed fine after the service was completed and it's been loaded on there since.

I just flashed the bm3 trans upgrade on my 13 328i. It didn't work at first as I'm coded to 2tb. So I used bimmercode to revert to non sport auto. Successfully flashed the trans with bm3, drove it for a while, noticed a difference from the stock tranny, and then coded back to 2tb SAT.

Now to me it feels better than ever. The sport mode of the transmission shifts quick and I'm chirping the tires a bit more. Is it placebo? By coding to 2tb after the bm3 trans flash, did i cancel out the BM3? Hoping if I bring this back around someone might know something

Does anyone know if they resolved the issue on N20 with using the N55 shift points? Don't want to flash this and end up endlessly lugging. There is no version info on the flash page and its also unclear if its still the one generic mapping.

I'd say most of us wouldn't since we are n55 guys. you may wanna contact Halim or Dzenan etc at PTF and find out.

I doubt they did anything with it. you may wanna look at xhp as a better option anyway.

I was going to do that but xhp seems to have gotten quite a bit more expensive which is unfortunate. I swear it used to be closer to half of what they are asking now?

It is 100% worth it. I ran the BM3 transmission flash till a couple of months ago. Made the jump to XHP hesitantly, thinking the difference between the BM3 and XHP wouldn't be noticeable.

I'm regular Steptronic Automatic Transmission (non-sport. no paddle shifters) on a 2015 F30 N55 335i M Sport, stage 1 BM3 93 octane. I now have the option to either bimmercode to the Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission option, or BM3 to the 'Upgraded 8-Speed Automatic TCU Flash', or both?

Does one override the other? Or can/should you 'stack' these transmission flashes in a certain order?

I think you have to choose between them. Bm3 will only recognize your original transmission software. So 2tb in bimmercode, has a greater effect than the bm3 transmission tune. Imo. If I remember correctly

My car came with the BMW Sport Transmission option working. When Bootmod3 came out with their free automatic transmission tune, I installed it and it was a nice improvement when I was running BM3 Stage1/2. Now that I am running a Stage2+ FlexFuel MultiMap tune, I am also running the xHP automatic transmission tune as BM3 recommends.

So I would suggest that you first turn on the BMW Sport Automatic transmission. Then flash the free Bootmod3 automatic transmission tune.
