Quick question.
I have an OEM 6.5"screen. If I was to fit a 8.8" or 10.25" andream screen in my car. Do I need to code to the larger screen. Or will the andream screen do this automatically?
Thanks

screen is a little bit dark because of the lightsensor of the car.
Wow that's pretty neat. Should come in handy for my low front splitter

Both are connected to iDrive or the MMI box?

Behind the grill or lower it has the advantage is nearly hard to see for other people.
The andream box has two inputs for cams and switches in gear D/R.
Front cam can be switched to on permanenty in the box menu.

Ok I search for you in my aliexpress, momento.......

GreenYi shop on Aliexpress
It has IP68 rating and with glass or plastic lens. They have a lot of different cams. I use wired. Two wired cams, for the front cam the wire goes to the rubber inlet on the driver's site firewall.

Any1 else have issues with iPhone XR and iPhone X? MMI would reboot every now and then or the screen would freeze or go black.
I still haven't found out what the cause is. I have had problems with NBT and CIC mmi's. They work perfect with other iPhone models and the iPhones work perfectly with OEM system.

For now I don't sell MMI's to customers with an iPhone X and XR

More than welcome to one of the extra boards. DM me to arrange shipping.
Great stuff! MY setup:The USB from the MMI box is easy placed under the airco. Using a magnetic ball joint for the phone four tiny inbusses to set it around the alarm switch. Sometimes very handy for apps or other related things.
The Samsung double quick charger has 5/9/12V and works very good on a 3 year old Oneplus 6 Andream phone. 5V of your
solution means it takes a lot of time to recharge a phone. They negotiate about the quick way to charge. So always use a quickcharger if you do travel a lot and make long trips and use power hungry things like GPS/SCREEN/BLUETOOTH/MUSIC
I don't like to run out of juice on the road :-) Under: Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging with one USB.

How did you fit the USB socket in the cover under the AC controls? I know you can get covers with a hole fitting for USB sockets for the F30, however I am looking for the same part for the F20.

I've made a square hole and press fit the USB in it and a little tip of epoxy glue.
For esthetic purposes there are USB cover caps for sale. But I like it, normally I use it for updates not for audio on a USB stick.

Thats a nice setup! This might be starting to veer off topic and I should probably start a separate thread. Most phones do not support higher USB PD voltages 9/12/20V. Both phone and charger need to support higher current and voltage negotiation. I have only seen the most recent phones (S21, iphone 12, etc) start supporting negotiation up to 9V which will start to give you around ~18-25W of charging. I don't know of any phones supporting higher than 9V. Any phone not recent (within the last year-ish) will typically support only up to 5V@3A (15W), if not less sometimes.

Quickcharge version 5 in 2020 is common there's a listing see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quick_Charge Note d
It's much safer to have a fully charged battery in case of an accident and one have to contact emergency folks.

Yeah, the cable was on the way of the back guides of the screen, so I could not get it to sit correctly on the dash.
I ended up having to use the straight end for the screen, with the angled end connected to the MMI box. For it to fit the little space it had, I had to strip out the strain relief on the connector and really bend the cable. It works for now, but I don't think it'll last too long, the bend is pretty ugly.

Mine came with version E_V.1.5.6, but i think i saw a 1.5.7 floating in this thread.

On another note, is it not possible at all to get the audio over native bluetooth?

QC 5.0 is absolutely uncommon. As per Qualcomm, literally 2 devices support it as of May 2021: the RedMagic 6 and 6Pro

Source: https://www.qualcomm.com/media/docum...evice-list.pdf

Beyond that, trying to get QC5.0 in a car is just unnecessary. It's far more effective to keep a battery bank on hand.

You are missing the point. Slow charging means the phone is running out of juice on long trips. Worse case. Always use a quickcharger. Just my two cents!

I have the same issue w/the new Roadtop unit I recently purchased. On my 2 series there isn't any way I can see how the angle connector facing the right vs down would fit. Also, switching the end will not work either, since the angle connector would block the other LVDS connector on the mmi box. I contacted Roadtop after sending pix and they are sending a new cable. BTW, I purchased directly from them and I received the unit from China in 4 days!

Even when I'm going ham, such as driving the android auto with my phone and running waze/bm3 live data monitoring via splitscreen on the phone, I lose maybe 1% over an hour. If I'm low at my destination, I just plug into my battery bank while I'm out and about. I get your point, but you're blowing it way out of proportion.

Interesting, all I did was to wiggle the cable from below as I lowered in the screen. The cable should be fine though, as long as its not rubbing against anything, and you don't drive on gravel roads regularly.

As for the all audio over native Bluetooth... Solid maybe... I have an idea of how to do it, will try it on my unit, and if I get it to work, I will post what I did to get it to work. Will need to change how I connect though, I use the USB cable for wired AA, and the native Bluetooth for calls only.
