I see. Well up to you then. I don't know how strong the weld would be and I certainly wouldn't trust it to hold the lights against the wind. The fog lights screw into the brackets themselves so if the bracket cracks against the wind then your fog lights will start bouncing around in there. Up to you if you want to risk it.

Fellas, for the grilles in the front bumper… do I leave them non-painted matte black/dark grey, or do I paint them gloss black to match my kidney grille? I have the double slat grill. I'm torn.
If it makes any difference I'm doing carbon fiber lip, extensions, and diffuser all around |

I unwrapped my rear bumper today since my rear diffuser came in the mail. You definitely need to remove the rear bumper to clip on the CF diffusers. I can see what people mean in the posts that I've read. Need to be able to flex the bumper a bit. But it fits perfect and looks fantastic. It looks much better than I was expecting. I got it on AliExpress for $68 plus $40 shipping. It's not real CF but a CF look. Can't tell once it's on in my eyes. Delivered in about 1 week. Here's some pics of the replica bumper with CF look diffusers installed.
US $68.20 56% Off | MagicKit Carbon Fiber Look Rear Diffuser For BMW 3 Series F30 F31 M Sport Bumper 12-19 https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOiMekN Bumper - $142 w/ free shipping Diffuser - $68 + $40 shipping Paint - $350 Total for rear bumper + paint + diffuser = $600 Will post on the front bumper in the next couple days once I get my front lip in. If anyone has a link to smoked rear reflectors. Let me know |

I used innovativeautoparts on ebay because they had free shipping and good prices. Parts are from Taiwan so quality is good. They carry both the F30 "m-sport" style body panels and the "m-performance" style body panels (that come with the m performance style accessories) which is great.

If you don't go OEM, you want to find a GoodGo bumper. Fit is perfect. Identical to oem |

Still need to put on the front bumper and side skirts. Red reflectors ordered for the rear but will paint them BSM before installing. Either that or wrap them CF. Front lip came in today. Extensions on the way. |

I'm going to do egr, dpf, scr delete + tune after body work is done. I'll be hitting exhaust at that time. I think i have an exhaust tip from my old Volvo S60R that should fit. Dual 2.5" w/ mild slant cut to fit contour in stainless steel. I had full mandrel bend exhaust on it. |

As for wire length, there's plenty to finagle it around but not enough to lay bumper on the ground with wire still attached. |

My goal was to build a heated nappa leather steering wheel for under $500 and full m kit for under $1500. As cheap as possible without any noticeable quality issues. Must look oem. Body shop thought the bumpers were OEM. They were stunned when I told them they were replicas. They fit like oem too |

Front lip came in last night. So I unwrapped the front bumper to see how the lip is gonna look and pop on the grilles. Can't complain for $33! Carbon fiber look. Feels pretty solid. Looks fantastic. Can't wait to put it on.
Think I'm going to leave the grilles unpainted for now. Also going to go with fog delete for time being |
