F Pace is an SUV, all wheel drive. No wheel spin when launching for the most part. Clearly, based upon the dyno runs posted above, BMW's numbers are conservative. While not 380hp, 361hp is no slouch. I'm only talking seat of the pants feeling and the few direct runs that my son and I did with the two cars, before I traded the F-Pace S in on the F-Pace SVR. The BMW didn't win, but the F-Pace didn't pull away as much as I would think it would. These were also shorter runs, not a Quarter mile, only zero to sixty or so.

Believe it or not the F-Pace is 4200lbs, very close to the convertible 440i. Mostly due to it being 98% aluminum.

Great numbers! I believe stock 335/435 averages about 290whp(correct me if I'm wrong), 331whp is impressive, at least 40whp bump! I'll probably have to get that MPPK to keep up as I don't want to mod before my warranty is over

Good to know BMW is not inflating/misrepresenting numbers. I recently saw the dyno results of the new Supra and it recorded more whp than Toyota claimed was available at the crank, I know it's Toyota but is it really?

Completely off topic, but I have the attention of at least a couple of hardtop owners...has anyone ever had issues with their hardtop?

Two different 4 series hardtop convertibles and no issues that I've noticed over that time for the most part. On the 2019, I've seen more movement in the weather strip then I saw on the 2016, but it hasn't caused an issue or any leaking.

Also on the 2019, I've noticed a wear pattern on the black trim that the rear section of the hardtop sits on when closed. I kind of expect this, but in 20k miles I didn't see anything like that, at least that I can remember, on the 2016.

Just M looking caps in Carbon Fiber. Picked them up off Amazon. Very nice quality carbon.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments on the look of the car. I appreciate it, it's been a fun project on my side since I really can't find anything to do with my SVR.

Love how divided everyone is on the M Badge. Amazing, it's staying since it's my wife's car and she likes it. I struggle going back at her on the posing comment though since BMW has the M badge on that car in at least 10 other places from the factory. MPPSK (2), Pedals (dead pedal), Every rim (4), steering wheel, and the side sills (2) with the flat black wrap that was there from the factory.

It's staying, I'm fine with you guys opinion, but my wife's opinion is what counts!

Do you have a link for the Side Mirrors and for the front lip/splitter?

Great car!! Looks so good. I don't mean any disrespect, but I think the M colored grills are so tacky. And the M badge, just no..

Who here would argue with your wife over this shit?

Looks nice with the springs. Did your car have adaptive suspension?
Good choice with the seat color!!!
You don't want to lose the fur on your back when she was parked open in the sun for some time.

I have 340i with track package and M package and MPPSK installed. I elected not to have the side decals installed and honestly the rear M badge is pretty trashy. I know its personal preference and what not, but just like when the sack nuts on trucks were a thing, some people need to be told how ridiculous they look.

The M badge is no where near as bad as that. I prefer a clean look myself, but fully appreciate the value in keeping Mrs. happy. It is her car!

Beautiful build OP.

It is that bad lol. There's a reason why BMW changed the font and spacing on the new "lightweight" ///M vehicles.

330i within thin italicized letters

M340i with bold, tight letters

I get making the wife happy. Mine wants to put pink wheels to "freshen up" the look of her 90k miles economy vehicle. But at the end of the day, there's no validating the looks.

OP, tell your wife we said that she has a nice M 440i

it's funny how once in a while this thread comes back to life. Opinions on the M Badge and the colors on the front grill aside, I'm still keeping the wife happy. She drives it, she needs to answer to the questions. I do appreciate the positive and negative comments. The car is a blast to drive, almost as fun as my daily. I often just take it for a spin to get a smile on my face. Love that MPPSK!

With that said, almost all the carbon fiber is from ******** (although I'm not sure you'll be able to read what I just wrote since the forum seems to always **** it out - RW C a r b o n) , the exceptions to this are the mirrors and Grill which I picked up on Amazon and the cost was so reasonable I simply needed to try. I got the carbon grill and it didn't seem to have an option for just black slats without the M colors. I was going to paint them but never got around to it. I may do it, since I'm not sure the wife will notice that change.

if you have an interest in the Grill and Mirror Caps, which both fit exceptionally. Just PM me.
