Looking for DIY: Rear window guide / seal replacement

Hi, looking for a DIY on the F30 on how to replace the rear door rubber window guide. It's part number 1 in the following picture

Name: Window Channel Guide.png
Views: 429
Size: 165.0 KB

Sometimes this is called a window seal but according to realOEM it is called a Window Guide (part number 51357414533 and 51357414534). I've slathered all kinds of chemicals on it, from gummipfledge to cabaflo to sealant and even 'teflon' tape and the doors still creak when it gets hot. Time to swap out those window guides. I asked the dealer what they wanted to do the job and the response was so ridiculous I'm seriously considering a Lexus next purchase.

Shop says 2 hrs per guide. I don't see where the time is going but I'll accept it's not easy. But where is the tough part?

I'll send you a link where you can find the instructions to replace it.
It's too complicated to put in in here.

I can see why they want 2 hrs per door. Each step is very small but there are a lot of them. G14 lubricant? Another magic chemical to add to my collection? I wonder if reapplying it would fix the problem. Does strong sun exposure dry it out?

Sorry to revive an old thread but is there any chance you still have these instructions. I've looked for hours online and can't find as much as a sentence on how to do them and my F30 is incredibly loud above 45mph due to bad guides!
