Midas to install a catted downpipe?
Would you guys trust a franchise exhaust shop like a Midas or Meineke to install a catted downpipe on a BMW 340xi? I have a BM3 stage 1 tune if it matters...
How hard is the install? Is it better to have a BMW expert do it? |

It's a handful of bolts. Unbolt them, remove old cat, place new cat, put bolts back in. Cant really mess it up. Takes less than an hour with a floor jack and hand tools.
Any shop can do it. Most cats don't come with a gasket. I would recommend ordering one and replacing it to be safe. |

I used a local exhaust shop. That's all they do. I'm sure you have a typical exhaust pro shop nearby.

NFW...last time I stopped at a midas for an emergency flat repair. They sent me off with 65psi in it. Just pay a shop that deals with BMWs or DIY. It's not hard although my have to cut vband clamp bolt on some.
