Hey guys - what have you all paid for Lease End Protection and tire/wheel protection on 3 year leases?

I'm being quoted ~$1650/each and it seems very high.

I paid $650 for the BMW "Safe Lease" insurance in June of 2017 on my 340i. They started at $750 for the coverage but I was able to negotiate it down. Basically, if I have to put new tires on the car at turn in (which I always seem to have to do), I'll break even or even ahead. If I have even one ding that needs to be fixed, I'm way ahead.

At $1650, I would pass, but my cars are always pristine when I turn them in with the exception of usually needing to put new tires on.

I'd pass on the tire/rim coverage unless you are constantly damaging rims/tires. For that money, you can get an entire spare set of tires/rims from a forum member here in the for sale threads and still have a few hundred bucks left over.

I live in Boston proper and park on the street, so it will get dinged. I think bumpshox and bumper bully will be enough, though. Especially for $1650.

Tire/wheel is important here. I’ve always gotten it and it’s more than paid for itself. But that was at a cost of $700-800.

Any one else have quotes?
