Open Exhaust, Akrapovic with ER DP vid clip
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vB0sa5Xys-k I am failing at Embedding so just click link above lol. First few seconds is of the car with open exhaust. Second clip revving is of Akrapovic Evolution exhaust for 335i with ER Down Pipe. Ignore the rough idle when the car is on the lift, that is from the BMS Intake.

It's very hard to really hear a difference to a car with the stock DP in this video but I bet it sounds awesome in real life as I know how hard it is to judge how it sounds from exhaust videos.

I've never heard a car stock with just downpipe but it does sound good. I ran the car with just the exhaust for a week I liked it but thought it was a tad quiet.
With the downpipe and muffler in comfort mode it sounds like a stock car in Sport mode. Only makes noise when u step on it and no drone. In sport mode it sounds amazing. I was pretty impressed at the sound. Have run titanium exhaust on my E46 M3, Supersprint system on my C63 and this is prob the best sounding I have owned. What did you do to beat the CEL with the downpipe? I am looking at doing the same set-up but want to avoid the CEL.
Did you use an O2 simulator, delete the code, or do some other set-up at the O2 bung? |

O2 is still plugged in. I am running a jb4 which automatically turns off CEL but eventually if I have inspection I will need to flip it back to stock but in this car prob takes 1 hr after it's cooled down. The car sounds awesome and puts a smile on my face. The Akrapovic isn't cheap but it's certainly worth it.

Any chance we can get a picture of the undercarriage on how you stored the O2 sensor? |

lol next time my car is on a lift will be when I need it removed or there are problems. The ER Down pipe has the bungs similarly situated so u can plug in the 2 sensors like stock. They are not the easiest to reach but doable.
