Possible Wheel Bearing Issue? My Process Of Repairs To Solve This Issue. Any Help Is

This is going to be a small log for myself and the issue I am having, I will be explaining what I have done, going to due, and what my plans are for the future if my issue is not resolved, any suggestions or recommendations would help! Thanks in advance!

My Vehicle, My Issue, Different Mechanics Opinions

I purchased my 2017 BMW 440i XDrive with 37,xxx miles, MPPSK with a staggered 19” wheel setup from factory. I drove it approximately 4 hours back home. When I took it out to show off to the world the next day. A strange issue came up. There is a small vibration/humming noise at the pace of a heartbeat. It sounds like if you were to HMMM with your mouth closed, not a question tone but just the noise of HMMM. The sound and feeling location was down in the passenger side floorboard, and a tiny vibration in the steering wheel when in higher speeds. But only when I turn the steering wheel right. It is most prominent at 60MPH+ on the interstate when I am either changing lanes, or going around bends. The strange thing though; when I turn my steering wheel straight or left, I have NO vibration. This vibration can be felt when the car if straight when I am riding at 100MPH+, but not when I turn the steering wheel left at those speeds. This issue is still there at 53,xxx miles.

After some research I believe that my issue is something to due with the wheel bearing. Due to it only happening when my vehicle is turning. Due to the weight being shifted to one side of the vehicle. Along with the location of the feeling of being near the floorboard/wheelwell. Also the fact that the pace changes with my speed. I believe its something to due with axle/drivetrain, and not suspension.

I have taken my car to 2 places, the first one was a local Euro Specialist shop. They work on every local Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi, BMW, etc. Very reputable. They pretty much gave me a inspection bill and said “we couldn’t find it”. The BMW Dealership told me that they “listened to my wheel bearing, could not hear anything, but we listened to your front differential and heard a slight noise. We can drain and inspect the fluid for $1200~~ USD”. Yeah, no.

What I Have Done / Going To Do Moving Forward

// At first, I thought it was my tires, they were the original runflat tires. Unsure of what kind they were. I more so wanted to replace the runflats as I personally am not a fan of them. The day before I was going to get my tires, I unfortunately fell asleep behind the wheel going home from work. I had ran my car into a ditch head on. A lot of damage to my whole cooling system. No frame damage, no suspension damage. My local BMW Dealership had taken it in and conducted all repairs with insurance. When I received my car back, the issue was still there. It was disputed due to them doing some “3D scans” and everything was to specifications. I guess whatever.

// I had replaced my tires shortly after my wreck. I replaced the run flats with with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 A/S all around the vehicle. A staggered setup due to what it came from factory with. Of course a wheel alignment afterwards. Still had the issue, but not as noticeable. Done at 39xxx miles

// I replaced my thrust arms as they were leaking hydraulic fluid from the bearings. I replaced the entire thrust arm, not the bearing. Fun fact, the scam of a dealership quoted me $1,100~ to replace it. FCP Euro had each arm for only $80~ each. Took only a few hours to install. Nothing else was spotted under the vehicle, from axles, drive shaft, suspension, etc.

// I ran into a little financial trouble due to swapping jobs and issues with my home. I have just purchased a set of wheel bearing/hub assembly kit from FCP Euro, this set comes with 2 whole assemblies. This will be replacing the 2 on my front. Link listed below from FCP Euro. Being replaced sometime within this week.

// During my last oil change at the Dealership of Scams… They suggested new pads and rotors for my vehicle. I knew this service was needed as my rotors are creating quite the lip. I have ordered all new rotors, and pads for all 4 wheels. This is at the bottom of my list of what I think it is, but still possible in my head with rotor warping. Being replaced sometime within this week.

// If all else fails. I am going to be replacing my wheels. Thought process for this is that either runflats did some no no business to my wheels, or the previous owner did some funny business with the vehicle, and somehow cracked? Bent? Something to the wheel.

// If that fails, I can take BMW’s word for it, and get XDelete to see if that solves my issue. I have yet to purchase this as I only would use it as a toy? If that’s the right way to put it. I personally prefer AWD over RWD. I would hardly use XDelete, so I would rather spend money on repairs, maintenance, upgrades, etc. over purchasing XDelete, as it would be a $400 to see if what is broken is anything to do with my front differential.

Random Brainstomring While I Type This Post

// Just thought of this, but could it be motor mounts? Long shot but yeah.

Thanks for reading my blab of a post. I will update this to see what resolves my issue, as I care about the others in the Beam Team. Want to inform and help any others who might have the same issue as me.

Sincerely, a guy sitting at the dinner table while my girlfriend talks about how long this post is and how I should be eating my dinner instead but cars>food lmao

I replaced rotors and pads all around last night. I also replaced the wheel hub/bearing on both sides for the front of the vehicle. So far, my issue is FIXED. I was lightly driving my car due to the break in procedure of new brakes + lots of traffic on the interstate. However, when I got the Driver Side bearing/hub removed, there were little bits of metal where it connects to the axle. Not only that, but it spins VERY loosely compared to the new ones, and the one I took off on the passenger side. Will attach photos when I get the opportunity.

Brake rotors were warped quite a bit, I know they have had a large lip on them for a little while. But the pads were quite rounded when I had pulled them off. Pictures attached of brakes. Unsure of sides but i just picked them and took a photo.
