Pre-lci instrument cluster failing

Has anybody come across or experienced the below?

My pre-lci instrument cluster appears to be failing, the small rectangle screen across the bottom of the unit often flickers/dims before coming back to full brightness, I've also had it full go out on the odd occasion.

Just recently it's been happening more frequently, car is a 2015 with 90k miles - I'm not really in the market for dropping £800+ on an 6WB.

Sorry to hear that. The intermittent flickering and stuff could be related to poor connection somewhere on the board or at the plug. Does not hurt to check it out...

I too thought that, it's never been out before but I still checked it.

I have had a persistent error code about MPG, however it displays perfectly fine on my iDrive display and the instrument cluster so I'm going to guess thats unrelated..

E12C3C - Interface DME, DDE (status of engine fuel consumption, 0x2C4): Signal invalid

This one is also new and persistent:
B7F694 Dashboard: Display backlighting: Short circuit to supply voltage

Guess I'll live with it until the screen goes out permanently ha.

the aftermarket digital dashboard (6WB imitation) is about $400 or about 300 sterling on ali express
not bad, but you need to find someone local to do the programming

as long as you don't have heads up display
it doesn't work with that

Are those the ones which look like the G series clusters?

I remember seeing them when they first came out and the fonts were like times new roman I believe a lot of people were put off by it and they promised tweaks, maybe I need to take another look.
