We will never know until somebody will reverse it and make a comparison. In theory it should help you cooling down the temps. I want to know why BMW in M cars & Porsche is adding this.

Even if you are not getting any benefits from it, that still a better sound than a basic burble tune than everyone else got.

Ya from what I hear, the theory is it helps cool, lowers torque for the trans to upshift quicker (don't know if that is even true) and it keeps the turbo spooled between shifts better, either way, it sounds like potential benefits even if small, and no real negative, and sounds epic

As I said, until somebody will reverse the code, make a comparison between two cars with this tune and without we will never know.

But we have to admit that:
- Sounds great

I wish somebody/shop could look into this and share with us the knowledge.

Check the M2 or M3/M4 without DCT but with manual transmission.
It still does exact same sound, so it's proven that it doesn't matter if it's manual or DCT.
