It doesn't give you much confidence in XHP if they don't even bother replying to enquiries. |

i had no luck with contacting them via the 'online contact form' - apparantly, they are 'snowed under' with work. best way to contact them is thru facebook - my lad did this for me, and i have had contact when needed - they actually stated that this is the best mode of contact, as facebook is regularly monitored, whereas the normal messaging works on a listing system, so any contact after yours goes to the top of the list and forces yours down (if you know what i mean)

Emailed him and he got straight back to me. iOS version of XHP is due to be released in H2 this year. A few other bits of info (answers to questions) : XHP does not include switching from Manual to Auto with a long pull on the + paddle. Shift points (rpm) are programmed according to the selected mode (C, S, S+) but I didn't get any further precise info - I'll be trying to find out a bit more, as I'll be looking for a gearbox map that is well suited to the 30d + remap. I asked about the risk of damage to the AT as the torque limits are increased (removed ?) in Stage 2 and 3 maps. This was the only reply that didn't fully convince me : There are 0 risks, because the risk is not created by removing the limiters, the risk is created by an engine producing torque. Here is some background information on this: https://www.xhpflashtool.com/blog/li...engine_torque/ All said, I'm pretty interested in the XHP AT remap and will be keeping an eye open for when it's released. The ZF OEM maps are mostly sluggish except for Sport+ and there's loads of room for improvement.

And I was quite happy with it. I'm considering the same for my F36 435xd before I go to a tuner to get some more power out of it😊

So, having had the xhp flash a good few weeks or so, I have to say it's the best upgrade and money spent on the car - the transmission was always good, but now it's so much better. In fact, I cannot see how it could be improved on. I would also say it's miles ahead of the dct on the AMG, and that's saying something ! I finally settled on stage 3. The most impressive thing is how drivable it is in comfort mode. Gone is the subdued spongy lethargic feel. It's now snappier, positive, responsive and gets up the gears with pace, whilst still being comfortable with seamless gear changes. And the sport and sport+ mode is much more performance focused without being too aggressive. The good thing about comfort mode is that the characteristics all depend on how you treat the throttle - take it steady and you have a comfortable ride, but floor it and you get the bonus of immediate lag free performance. Before, if you were driving in comfort mode, you had to switch to sport mode if you wanted to press on. Now you can stay in comfort and just mash the pedal when needed, then back off when needed. I cannot recommend this enough, and as an engineer, I can be picky with all mechanical applications, but this I cannot fault and can't see how it can be improved. Btw, this transmission is now better than my previous amg speedshift dct, and Audi s3 s tronic dct.
Hope my opinion helps |

Just waiting for the iOS to be released and it'll then be on my car.

following. Very curious to hear about 3rd gear now. This could make the car significantly faster with the same power level. Especially having BM3 stage 2, I dont see how the torque limiter removal wouldnt help us big time.

I just saw the Kies video in my feed and I’m intrigued. I only have a stg1 bm3 flash on an otherwise stock N55 F30xi. However, 3rd gear feels like the car is stock then get a huge shove of power in 4th. I’m most excited about the torque limit change for 3rd because that’s the gear I’m in when I am making a pass usually.
I already feel like the 8 speed shifts pretty damn fast coming from a 6sp auto alpina tcu flashed E92. This is a definite next mod for me for the torque limits alone, but curious to see the faster shifts too. Don’t have android though, so I need to find someone to assist.

Bit of a shameless plug, but as it is my thread, I thought what the hell ! I have the recommended and only approved wi-fi dongle for the diy xhp application. As a result of a computer error, I ended up ordering 2 units, so have a brand new unused one for sale. These can also be used for coding and reading errors etc. PM me if interested.
As a side note, I have 5 friends with beemers, and all 5 have gone for the xhp flash after driving mine ! 3 of them have standard cars and had plans for an engine remap, but not now as the xhp flash is that good ! |

Worth a try, but some of us will want to wait until the iOS version has achieved full release (not a Beta).
I have a contact point at the developer and am happy to ask about a 'limited run' discount code. Anyone interested - PM me so I can get an idea of numbers.
