Seems to be Android only, not iOS in case that matters to you.

Yes, you get those when coding stuff in the FEM_Body ECU I seem to recall.

Can you remember how you coded the folding mirrors?
I believe those options are in the long list of FEM unit.

Can the ODB Adapter be used with any other apps? Ones that give real time readings while driving?

The BimmerLink app does that for you - so I assume yes you can.

So £25 each for the apps then?

Danny, the one below is the only one to get that will work correctly. It will work with both Android and iOS (I bought them both and they work perfectly). Only the iOS version has expert mode.

Vgate iCar 2 WiFi OBD2

OBD arrived today so will be having a go tonight,
Hopefully coding:

1) mirror lights on reverse
2) tyre pressure

if anyone has already done this then hints would be great as I have never done anything like this before.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me if pressing 'Connect' prior to purchasing the App, actually connects to the car (I realise it won't code).

Long story short, I bought a VGATE OBDII connector on eBay, but they sent one made by KONNWEI (Looks identical)

It errors when I try to connect, but before I send it back and buy the correct brand (again!) I thought I'd just check that it's not the App purchase that's causing the error (in which case I'll just buy the App)

I hope that makes sense

Yes, you can connect and read but not code - should be perfect to allow your testing.

Just ensure you’ve connected to the adapter’s WiFi network first.

Yeah, that's what I thought - this OBDII is incompatible. Pisses me off when I thought I'd bought the right one too. I suppose it serves me right for buying from eBay and not Amazon

It is incredibly important you only buy the specified OBD adaptor that is on the Bimmercode site. As a few have found, even one that looks similar will not work. The chap who made the app spent a long time testing various OBDs and he has found the most stable and reliable is the one he recommends.

Either do a search based on 'Vgate iCar 2 Wi-Fi OBD'. The top link takes you to Amazon to this one;

Vgate iCar 2 Wi-Fi OBD

Don't scrimp and try and save a couple of quid.

(I have no affiliation to Bimmercode or VGate, I just know getting the correct OBD in this case is a 'must'!)

I've just had my first experience of using Bimmercode.
Using the Vgate iCar 3 Wi-Fi OBD

Coded the following on my first attempt.
- Disable Auto stop/start
- Tyre Temps
- Puddle lights on reverse
- M Performance animation on Connected Drive

Did this all with the engine running and had no hassle at all.

My brief kit combination I used was:
F31 340i LCI - Bimmercode - Vgate i3 - HTC U11

I bought the correct one. Regrettably, the tosser selling it sent a different model
On the plus side, the one in your link has just been discounted by a few quid

Does the vgate work with icarly to read codes etc?
I am not interested in coding just to read values such as dpf soot value without having to get the laptop out. I had a elm327 Wi-fi which didn?t work with icarly or odbdoctor

Thanks

Loving Bimmercode but got a bit trigger happy and I seem to have stopped the front parking sensors from automatically kicking in. Anyone know what setting I may have changed and what the default should be?

I've never noticed my front sensors automatically switching on, they do this in the X5 but haven't noticed it in the F30, I've always had to push the button manually to switch them on.
