Easier using the desk top version but you have to resize the pictures if you're not using a photo hosting website.

Thank you, I've never had this problem before

Gesture control, I tend to drive right handed with my left nestled somewhere around the centre console so no issue. Today whilst sat in the 3 hour traffic jam home (25 miles) I played with the menu, it is still good tech and there are many more facets to it but.......... IMHO, having 4 ways to control 1 function is overkill.

So E-mail from BMW, they claim the following:

There is no fault with the speakers, they have carried out test plans and found that they only distort when pushed beyond their design capabilities. There is a particular pitch that can cause distortion over a certain volume and this is caused by the design, not a fault.

What an admission, I will not accept their conclusion, if playing normal music at 50% is beyond the capability of an HK premium system then I will pursue further.

I must admit I'd find it difficult to listen to the HK in my car at 50% I generally have it at no more than 15-20% and it's more than loud enough at that.

Stupid admission. If they design a system that turns up to 10 then it should be able to do 10 even if your ears are bleeding by 8.
"you've bought a car with a 300hp engine, we've fitted it with a gearbox that can handle 150 and it's your fault if you try using the power"

TBH, I've had mine up to at least 50% playing Paranoid (I'm old, OK?) and I've never noticed rattles or distortion, but if it did, it'd be going straight back to them to sort one way or another......

My point exactly and in fact the same analogy I used. Thanks for your support.

I've just emailed HK to see if they agree that their "poor design" really does result in an issue when pushed beyond their limits @ 50%

Gesture control IMHO utter crap. It was a laugh for a few mins but it's very clunky/not precise. Quicker to use the steering wheel controls. It was deactivated the next day.

Sadly you can't alter the snatch.

I agree, the 320D particularly in Sport mode can get about quite quickly and of course it depends how the car is driven and with what skills but folks with 330D’s would want to say that about the 320D’s would’nt they!
It’s human nature!

Agreed there is nothing wrong in the step off performance of the 20d cars, more than enough even the new X3 (which is a sizable car) yes of course once over 60mph it isn't going to be a ball of fire but it still pulls well to 90mph and beyond if you want to its roll on performance is impressive and you'd sit at 120mph all day on the autobahn.

Never feels under powered in normal cut and thrust driving and why would it with nearly 200hp.

Car back, unwashed (1st time ever), sadly the noise is still there. They did, however, decoke my manifold , replace a brake reaction bush . This time a very nice man came with me to hear the noise, he then sensibly went to another 3 series with HK, no noise, a 4 series with HK no noise and finally an M3 no noise. The nice man agreed that it is not right He is going to contact BMW Germany and sort it out. YAY

Is decoking my manifold a euphemism? If not does anyone know what it entails?
