"Vehicle scheduled for production, No confirmed production date"

So I'am scheduled for a "Week 38" build, which is about 5 weeks from now. I ordered my car last week (8/04/15) and it's in priority 2 status till I do my "Team USA Drive Event" next week on 8/20/15. After I complete the event my CA will change status to priority 1.

My question is has anyone had their priority status changed from 2 to 1 and had their production week bumped up by a week or 2?

I don't believe it would change from P1 to P2 without the dealer manually making that change. But yes, several of us that had 2016 MY orders in have had production bumped up a week or so. Mine was.

Yeah, my CA said that he will manually change the status to P1 once I do the event. Ok, good to know that orders have been bump up a week or so. A total of six weeks from the time ordered to build date seemed kinda long to me since My2015 428xi GC only took 2 weeks to go into production after placing the order with my CA and that was a SOP.

I was under the impression that any "customer ordered" car automatically gets priority 1 status?

It does but since I didn't do my drive event yet and want to receive the $1000 credit dealer can't put it under P1 (sold car) because if they did I wouldn't be able to use the the $1000 credit from the event.

I gotta' think BMW would take a dim view of the dealer doing this. I hope it works out for you.

From what I heard they do it all the time not only at my dealership but at others. With my last BMW purchase last year at a different dealership my car was ordered P1 not know about the drive event credit till later. I attended the event a month after ordering and my CA still was able to apply the $1000 credit on a P1 order. Not sure how he did it but I didn't ask any questions.
