Just curious as to what lengths people go to between washes in an effort to keep their car looking good, and how often?
My regimen consists of : -blowing off excess brake dust from all wheels and rear of car with the leaf blower - daily -wiping dust from wheels and cleaning windows every other day -if it's been rained on, hosing it off then blowing it dry. -spot checking and using quick detailer as needed. -vacuum multiple times a week

Between washes, I don't touch the paint unless I get notable bird droppings. In that case, I blast it off at a coin op and then do a spotless rinse (meh) until the next wash.
However, I do a mini detail every 2 weeks. -vacuum -pressure rinse -Optimum No-Rinse was & wax (the wax part does make a huge difference over the standard ONR) -door jambs, trunk jamb, hood jamb, wipe down all the under hood covers -wipe down both front seats, dash, console, steering wheel, etc -windows inside and out -303 on tires My car never really gets build up between details. I have been able to stretch interior details out to about every 6 months, and my entire process only takes about an hour twice per month. I do need to clay my car more often than I used to from fallout. I believe it is due to working very close to an airport.

I'm so anal, every Monday morning the first thing my coworkers ask is, "Did you was your car this weekend?".

One step ahead sir. Got it delivered last week. Just need to find 2 days I can devote to it without the warden yelling at me.

There is a new auto spa near my house . I got a membership at $15.95 a month for unlimited washes(per car) They have awesome vacs and air hoses to get all the hidden water out of the door jams, wheels, grills, etc..... even have floor mat cleaners.
Needless to say my cars stay spotless these days |

always wash weekly or after bad weather, vacuum twice a week along with rim/brake cleaner (got to keep the Vossens sparkly), then leather treatment & plastics/trim pieces cleaned every week or two.
& last but not least, the ceramic coating! it makes a world of difference with keeping the car clean between washes & the paint is a lot glossier after you do wash it.

Do the traditional clay and hard paste wax every two months. Wash about every week. Condition leather, dash once month. Between the paste wax intervals I use a Griots spray wax and best of show detailer

I can't take my car outside the garage, I would like to drive it but it will get dirt on it, then I would have to wash it again.
Not driving your car is like not having sex with your wife.....................the next guy is really going to appreciate it I think I am manic depressive

Hand wash every few months. 2 bucket system, foam cannon, Adam's Gloss and Guard. Clean the insides of the MPE every wash. Yes, I take it to a car wash for a hand wash once and awhile because I don't always have the time. I've never waxed it. Maybe I should have it detailed, but I'd rather go for a drive than sweat in my driveway. Although I might have an excuse, it spends a lot of time in the garage and doesn't really get too dirty. I only drive it once or twice a week.

You do not want to clay your car that often as it is an abrasive. You can easily remove iron contaminants and stop corrosion with an iron remover spray instead.

I pay $7.99 to run mine through Costco's car wash. It's too damn hot right now in AZ to wash it myself. Then I take it up the street to the other car wash and use their free vacuum's. I wash it maybe once maybe two times per month but I clean the interior out weekly.

For everyone who loves keeping their car clean, this is a quick wash method assuming it hasn't become too dirty. I would keep in mind Larry does have his line of sealant and wax on the car as sacrificial layers of protection vs naked paint.

Maybe I'm a purist: the more times you wash/polish/condition the more chemicals and abrasives you are subjecting your surface to, the more chance to scratch it, wear it down etc... I keep a clean dry microfiber in my cars at all times for regular wipe downs of the interior.
