I've sat in some lower spec C-class and A4/5s that have a far worse interior than mine, albeit a well specced Audi is understandably ahead of the similarly specced BMW - courtesy of being half a generation ahead. I wouldn't have a merc interior if you paid me, tasteless gash

The guys that specced leather dashes in the F3x (I didn't) have an interior that bears comparison with anything else in its class IMHO.

We all get a bit spoilt - if I sit in most of the non-premium brands I come away scratching my head at the lack of tech and some poor plastics.
Merino leather with leather dash and digital cockpit makes the 3 the best interior in its class imo.

Any thoughts on the current 6 interior (post LCI) vs the new interiors eg the g30? Is it starting to look dated and the tech being being a bit superceeded by the new generations you think?

Lemmie see pics OP!

I think the 6 feels more premium, more leather and less plastic. The g30 feels a bit more modern with the ambient lighting. A lot of gloss black plastic though which i dont like.

Incidentally, Carbon black is a beautiful colour for the 10 seconds that it's clean...it looks AWFUL with even the tinest bit of dirt though.

Anyone any ideas on how to keep it clean?

Yeh that’s nice! Can you tell me (or anyone who has driven a 6 series), how does it feel in the drivers seat and how does it compare to the 3 series? I.e. do you feel lower and more enclosed? Any thoughts appreciated.

Yes, a bit I guess - owing to the higher centre console.

If anyone is looking at buying a 6...
a Tip from me: Look for "Comfort seats" option.

Mine is fitted with "sports seats", which, frankly, is a ridiculous option to have in a car like this. They are far too hard, and inappropriate to a car which is basically designed for effortless motorway cruising

I'm a big fan of Comfort seats - had them on an X5 (with Nappa leather) and thought they were fantastic. I don't remember finding the 6 Series Sports seats uncomfortable - I think they were better than the F3x at least, but I suppose they should be.

The availibility of Comfort seats is one factor which would push me towards a 5 Series (the smallest BMW which can have them).

I went the other way, still miss my 640d. However it's far too large for where I live, and was stolen by a 16 year old from a shit area near-ish me called the Cray's. They are awesome cars. M5 next I think....
