My First BMW - 335ix M Sport - Alpine White/Coral Red - Brief Review
Hey Guys,
Been snooping around on the fourms for the past few months and reading everything I possibly can about this car. I'm coming from a background of strictly Japanese vehicles (Acura Integra, Acura RSX, Infiniti G37S). My lease of my Infinti came to an end in May and began my search for a new vehicle (BMW lovers please don't destroy in the forum when I compare the 335 to my previous vehicle, I have nothing else to compare it to). I was always intrigued by BMW and thought i'd take a chance and get the 335i X drive M sport. I was a bit nervous but was told by numerous people that I would not regret my choice. Reading the forums also kept my nerves at ease (besides the Limp Mode of course). So I placed my order back on April 30th and picked her up yesterday from a local dealership in Toronto. This was a German build and came off the Turandot Ship from Bremerhaven. First impressions of seeing the car in person was WOW. The pictures online don't do any justice, the vehicle looks very different in person. I was not able to find a 335i xdrive M sport in the area, so I gambled. I picked the Alpine White with Coral Red interior. I was not disappointed when I saw the outcome. It definitely stands out and is not as bright as some pictures may look. Here is the link of the options I got, which I posted in a different thread: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=854942 I also got black grill option with 35% tints from the dealership. I haven't pushed the vehicle past 4000 RPM due to the break in period. But can see the difference from my previous G37S. This feels much quicker and lighter. The handling, comfort and feel of the BMW is exactly what everyone preaches about. But I will miss my G, it was such a good car. I have nothing against the Infinti, I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 2 door coupe. But I was looking for a 4 Door vehicle with a sporty feel and I think I found it. I will post more when the vehicle is broken in and I can finally push this thing. Just a quick question for those with the Harman and Kardon speakers, when the volume is cranked with a song with a good bass level, do you hear rattling on the outside of your vehicle (mainly your door area) I've noticed this and not sure if its my settings or something that is normal. In my G, I had the Bose sound system which was phenomenal and IMO sounded a bit better. I know the H&K is a much cleaner sounding system. But in terms of bass and treble I thought it would have been better. (again don't hate me for voicing my opinion lol) Took a few close up pictures of some buttons I think the forums were lacking, when I was looking for pictures of the car, which I hope will help those awaiting their delivery or even those deciding what car they want. Anyways, here are the ritual iPhone pictures, hope you like em'. - I can't edit for the life of my so dont mind the blurred out plates and backgrounds. Note: The comfort lighting on the outside of the doors, in the pictures appear yellowish, however, in person it is a nice white LED looking light. |

Congrats on the F30! Impeccable taste in your choice of colour, but I might be biased since we have the exact same car with the same options. =)
As for your HK sound issues, I can't say I've noticed anything like what you described in mine. I would definitely bring it up with your SA when you bring it in for service next time around. |

I had the same rattle outside. I took it back to the dealer and they found out that the parts around the speakers in the inner door panels were not factory sealed. Fixed now.

Is that an iPod nano you have connected?
How does that work for you? Is the sound better than the Bluetooth connection from an iPhone 5? Thanks

For me I have over 2000 songs and having it on my phone is killing my memory. So I bought it for the car and keep it in there.

Congrats
Nice color combo. Black kidneys look awesome. Not sure about the law up there, but front plate ruins the clean look. Enjoy your first Bimmer!
