Tuning on top of MPPK

I recently purchased an F32 N55 with MPPK on it. I'm looking to get a bit more power and was looking at getting MHD stage 1.

If i revert to the stock map on MHD will it erase the MPPK tune? I'm not sure how it works.

Thanks

I'm in the same boat and have heard BM3 saves your current stock map. Not sure about MHD but I bet it's the same because I haven't heard anyone complain about losing their stock maps.

I also have the same question. Recently purchased an f30 that has the MPE and MPPK and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to bm3 or mhd. Both tunes seem to have great reviews but I'm not sure if it's going to be a noticeable upgrade after already having the MPPK.

Stage 1 flash tune is a big leap in noticeable performance compared to MPPK

So I have a F32 435 that came with the MPPK and MPE stock and I recently went with the Turner Motorsport Tune with some other mods. I can tell you it is a night and day difference.

My base Dyno run was 332HP and 319TQ

After an Intercooler and their tune I am now at 358Hp and 402Tq (Their tune does not build on your MPPK)

I have seen BM3 and MHD give similar results on tons of cars. It is worth the upgrade.

has anyone else found out if either of the above mentioned tunes from OP can be stacked with the MPPK? i know the Dinan tunes can be. My friend has a 335i e92 and has MHD on his and he keeps telling me to go with MHD.

their is no "stacking" of MPPK and MHD/BM3, there is no point really. I have MHD and before your initial map write you have the option to save your current tune so you can go back to it at any time, they also have a stage 0 which is just an oem tune, but not mppk. If you do go with MHD, definitley get the wireless adapter, original map write goes from 30-40 minutes down to under 5, and after that they go from around 3 minutes to 20-30 seconds. it also allows you to display live gauges and datalog without having to run the cable, which isn't bad, but so much better without. and datalog periodically, try to do a few logs before the tune if you can too.

Yes, BM3 has an MPPK tune to revert back to as your stock or OEM map.
Seems to me finding used BM3 license in same ballpark as a used JB4 is equally tough even though around same price point.
Buying a used bm3 is not worth it since you cannot resell it anymore. Once its time to move on, everything you paid for it is gone.

If you buy a new license, you can sell it later and get most of your money back.

There is also the chance of getting scammed by paying for a disabled license

This said, if you buy from a vendor - do we get same day key/code to unlock the OTS for our VIN? It’s probably why I am steering away from JB4 as I’d have to wait for it.
Depends on who the vendor is, if you get it from us send me the order number and I'll send you the activation code within minutes

I just got an F32 ZHP with MPPK! This is great news I about to swap over to MHD, but didn't want to lose my MPPK tune.

Where does it get stored on the device your using? Any way to back that up incase that device is now longer usable?

Whatever tune you have when you flash will be stored as your "stock tune". I am not 100% sure if you can saved that file from your device to your computer or elsewhere, check with MHD support for confirmation.
