FYI- a couple things..
The 340mm front rotors are 30mm thick, not 20mm. I haven't heard of any E-series cars that these come on. For example the E-335i has totally different sized brakes. Maybe there is one, not sure The brakes pad sensors do not continuously measure anything. They aren't that sophisticated. They simply flip on a dash light if the front left or rear right pad wears to a certain point. Any mileage number that comes up on the dash is simply a wild, usually inaccurate guestimate from some factory algorithm. The actual BMW specification on rotor wear is that 1.6mm of metal wear material is allowed. Your front rotors began at 30mm and rears at 20mm. So the spec is to measure rotor thickness with an accurate caliper at 8 random locations and then use the lowest number. So if the fronts wear to 28.4mm or the rears to 18.4mm then they should be replaced. Only by measuring with a caliper can remaining rotor material be determined. The average rotor lifespan is said to be 60k miles +/- 10k miles. So to have about 30k miles remaining the rotors would have to measure in 8 random spots no less than front 29.2mm and rear 19.2mm. Hope this helps! |

I didn't say they came on an any E series cars. I said they fit. I sold the calipers to a guy with an E series track car. Maybe he made some modifications I really don't know. YMMV.

If the calipers were Grey, then they'd be F340x30, R330x20. Each F3x caliper takes a specific sized rotor, and vise versa. |

I have the msport brakes (blue calipers) but I do not have the slotted and dimpled rotors. Just regular rotors. |
