It is easier that way.

If you look at my thread link, I bought this Mk1 with the engine conversion already done, then added some touches as saved a lot of cost and time

My experience was that bulges were much more easily obtained on non rft than rft. I ran the same tyre on my car with and without RFT and the potholes caused bulges much more easily on the non rft. We had two bulges - one of them ended up blowing on the non rft. on the RFTs - nothing...

A bit late to the party, but that’s a very smart looking car you have there. I was after that same colour combination myself, but the few I looked at weren’t quite right. I ended up spotting an EB that had slightly higher mileage with a slightly better spec so opted for that instead. Hopefully you’re still enjoying it, I know I can’t stop grinning when I give it a boot.
