Local tire store chain TPMS sensors?

So, my local "chain" tire store says they have "Universal" TPMS sensors. Are they trust worthy, or should I buy something more OEM and specific to my particular car from an actual BMW parts supplier?

Haven't heard of any universal TPMS for BMW before...

Best price for a new set is TPMS(.)com

Exactly what I'm concerned with and what I'm trying to find out. I've seen post on here about peeps having issues with these sensors when going to another set of wheels and I don't want to have to deal with any potential issues. If I have to pay an extra $100 so be it. But if I can save $100, that's great too! Local "chain" tire store says they will work just fine and are close to $100 cheaper than where I normally purchase my parts from.

I bought some OEM 403's from local member, but he had an early model 2014 which had the different tpms then my 2015. They didn't work with my car, So I just bought new tires and ditched the run flats and had the Discount Tire tpms installed with them. $40 each and they work just fine.

Normally I think they charge $55 for them, but I have hook up.

I have these and they display the psi and temperature (enabled via coding)

Really? Well that's good to hear cause that's exactly where I went. Except my local store said they're normally $60 each but I could get 'em for $50 each.

Wow, those aren't just a good deal they offer a couple cool extra features as well. No idea where to get coding done around me though?...

You won't need coding for them to work as they do currently, just mount and "reset TPMS" in iDrive. That coding only changes what iDrive shows you in your TPMS interface, there is nothing different with the sensors.

www(.)tpms(.)com/Huf_Intellisens_RDE027_Set_p/uvc0027set.htm

$139.99 for the whole set. Make sure to verify if your existing/OE TPMS match. (Huf or vdo)

For some reason I cannot post a link without it inserting a ton of *** to it :

MacklinUSOB is correct. I enabled the features in the iDrive using esys. Check out the coding forum to learn more. I called it coding but its really just changing something from inactive to active and hitting save. I was just stating that these work the same as OEM from that perspective as well. Just make sure to send RG Sport your VIN so they can verify the correct sensors. I think 2014 was a half year on tpms and it changed at some point.

Thanks Man! Got a set of these last week and had them installed in my new wheels. Also got the bimmercode app to enable temp and psi.
