Knocked out the F80 lower control arm (Delphi brand / rock auto $190 shipped with commifornia tax) today. First of , I highly suggest doing this with an alignment shop ready to roll! The toe gets completely fucked after changing the lower arm.

Install was easy but I do this for a living and have all the tools and equipment. Probably 30-40 minutes to knock it all out. Alignment spec attached, unfortunately I lost my last alignment spec so I'm not sure how much more camber it gave. Note, BMW KDS alignment machine reads in Degrees then Minutes. 60 minutes = 1 degree.

Alignment reading as is:

2015 335i RWD
Factory M Sport
6 speed Manual Transmission

Front:
-2.46(minutes) L
-2.33 (minutes) R
0.01 L
0.01 R

Rear:

-2.00 (minutes) L
-2.00 (minutes) R
0.01 L
0.01 R

Suspension: Feal coilovers 441 with 90% camber maxed out.

Before the balls busting happens on the big ass wing , I track this car. Still waiting on media from the event but below is best lap for the day:

Car understeers a bit still.... hopefully a bit more camber and more seat time I can get comfortable in the F30 again!

If you drop the front spring rate or increase the rear it'll improve the understeer nature. With the downforce from your wing I'd try upping the rear first if you like the support of a stiffer front.

Haha wow that's low! Why not just raise the front ride height a bit?

Photo Dump of yesterday's track day!

It was scheduled to be 100f+ but it's fire season here in Commifornia so it only got to maybe 90ish.

1st drive out: Car felt great and did PB this session.... then I got to the paddock to go over the car. Noticed my bumper was hanging low....The muffler came off the sleeve clamps and started to point upwards thus causing the internal plastic support of the rear bumper to melt off. It also melted a small wiring harness next to the muffler. Decided to take bumper , muffler and various trims off and track it still 😂

3rd and final drive out: Car still felt good in the heat and sounded great with no muffler lol. Heard a long pop and suddenly no boost.... cruised it to the paddock to pop the hood and found the VRSF chargepipe rubber plug completely exploded. I always carry a few track boxes with tons of random parts so made a temporary cap using an old radiator hose and an E36 vanos bolt to seal the hose!

Fun day , forgot how fast these cars are tuned. I'll probably drive it on track again on Friday![

Broke more stuff. Morning of event at 5am I hit the pothole size of the car at the hotel driveway. See photos. Had to remove my front splitter and chassis mounts so I can get to the track. I still sent though 😂

Best lap of the day with cayman dude not letting me go. Decided to lift and live another day.
