Just picked up a F30 and will be throwing on the wheels from my previous ride. 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 e.t. 37 all around. What size tires do you guys recommend if I will be lowered on H&R sports? I would like it to be as flush as possible with the fenders. I was thinking of doing 245/35's & 265/35's, but open to suggestions.

If anyone has pics with similar a similar setup and lowered, I would love to see it. Thanks.

Yup yup! Best size in my opinion.

Another tire size option would be to go with the OEM 19 tire sizes of 225 40 19 and 255 35 19.

I think 245 is a bit wide for a 8.5 wheel and may look like it visually.

245 on a 8.5 is perfect. OEM staggered wheels are 8.0 front and 8.5 rear with a 255 tire and it looks fine. 225 on a 8.5 is slightly stretched as you can see in pics above.

I think your own suggestion will look great, both close to OEM spec and spot on for 8.5" and 9.5" wheels.
F: 8.5x19", 245/35-19 (1% shorter than OEM)
R: 9.5x19", 265/35-19 (1% taller than OEM)

M3 E92 came stock with exact that spec (245/35 on 8.5" and 265/35 on 9.5"), search for style 220 wheels to see how the tires looks on the wheels.

265/30 as rear tire would work aswell but is 3% shorter than OEM, 275/30 are closer to OEM (2% short) but then it will also be more likely with rubbing issues since the rear is ET37.

I think the fitment looks perfect and not stretche at all in the picture (225 tires are 8.9" wide after all). That's basically how my 235 fronts look on my 9" wide wheels and the 265s on my 10" rears. I just thought if 225 looked good, going 245 may look a bit too much (235 would be OK i figured)

Just going by tire widths (which we know can go bigger than the rims width by a fair amount and is probably a good idea to go half an inch bigger so the tire isn't flush with the edge - although depending on the tire brand the shape differs it seems).

Just my opinions obviously as I've said, go with what you think looks best. The main thing is making sure the overall diameter is about equal front to back and not too much off from stock. Mine are about 2% taller than stock but same heights back to front.

225 = 8.9" wide
235 = 9.3"
245 = 9.7"
255 = 10"
265 = 10.4"

im running 19x9 and 19x10 with 225/45/19 and 245/40/19 i dont have any upclose shops of how the tires sit on the wheels in the car but i have a shot of the wheels alone that might help.

the 10inch wheels are the two in the front and the back two are 9inch wide

Thanks. To me that is a perfect example of 'stretch' but also shows they fit (even if a bit snug), although I wouldn't go any smaller for sure.

I agree, it does look good, and as i said its just slightly stretched. Running a 225 up front and 255 or 265 in the back will result in a understeer in those tight corners. And I was also surprised that a 255 tire on a 8.5 wheel looks fine and is not bulging outward.

So after doing some more research, and going back and forth as to the tire sizes, I am about to finally pull the trigger this weekend, and will most likely go with the Falken FK-453's. Based on my research and asking a few of the members on here who have all been really helpful in answering my questions, I have decided to go with 245/35/19 & 275/30/19.

Obviously I am not concerned at all with the fronts (and will probably throw on some 5mm spacers). However, I am still a little concerned that a 19x9.5 e.t. 37 rears on 275/30/19's is going to be very close to the fenders, and probably flush, which I am completely fine with, as long as it doesn't run into any major rubbing issues.

I was wondering if anyone else has had first hand experienece with 19x9.5's et 37 on 275/30/19's, and whether you have run into any rubbing issues at all with this set up. I should note that I am lowered on H&R sports.

Any info would be appreciated, and if you happen to be running this exact set up, and can post any profile pics of the rear fenders, that would be great. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with these specific offsets and a 275/30/19. I will be in a similar bind in a few months when I need to put my summer wheels on. Mine are 19x9.5 +35 in the rear. I'm hoping to go wider than stock but we'll have to see.

I am not sure if this is going to help you out because it's not the exact same set up, but I'll let you know my experience. On the rear, I am running a 20x10 ET40 wheel. My wheel pokes out 3mm more than your rear wheel. I run a 275/30/20 Hankook V12 tire. Upon compression, my tire tucks behind the fender just fine; no tire on metal rubbing. However, it does rub the plastic inner lining if the spring compresses enough. I am running on coil overs at about 1 inch lower than H&R Sport springs. The rubbing does annoy me when I hit dips/bumps, but not enough to get me to have my camber adjusted.

You may have better luck than I since you have an extra 3mm to play with along with the fact that it's a 19" wheel as opposed to my 20". Also, different tire manufacturers have different widths. Good luck.

Not at all... I have 19x8.5 19x9.5 set-up and running 245/35 front and 275/35 rear. I love the rear, the fronts could have been a bit wider IMO... but they dont look bad.

18x9 ET42 will run 245/40/18 here
18x9.5 ET43 not sure i couldn't find Michelin PSS in 255/40/18 although i found 265/40/18

however i found Toyo's and Nitto Invos in any size i wanted.

My 265/35/19s are about 2% taller than my stock 225/45/18s if i recall so not much of a difference (1 mph at 50mph). That combined with the fact that the speedo is programmed with tolerances to read higher than the actual speed probably makes it a wash. I forget the exact formula they have to abide by but whatever the OEM wheels and speedo is set to is most likely higher than your actual speed by a bit.

Unless you're going a lot different in size (diameter), there isn't much reason to worry about it.

Hello, i need help. I have decided to buy rims for my f30 sedan.
It was two option to choose: R19x8.5 5x120 ET32/35 72.6 and R19x9.5 5x120 ET35/38 72.6. I have chosen all four rims 8.5xR19 and all tyres the same size 255/35 r19. I am not convinced it is good decision. Please help me. Maybe it was better to choose front 8.5x19, and in the rear wide 9.5x19? And another tyre size?

if you want the staggered look, where the front is narrower and the rear is wider with deeper concavity then do 19x8.5 +32 with 235/40/19 front, 19x9.5 +38 with 265/35/19 rear. it will look a little more aggressive than this...https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1514688
