N20 420i weird exhaust sound

Hello
Today I noticed that my 420i made weird pipe noise.

The engine and exhaust are stock with 25k miles. Only mod is quad exhaust tips since 1k miles.

I used the car with this setup for long time without this noise so not sure what to look into.

When you're driving the car, is it easy to locate the sound? It sounds like it's definitely coming from the muffler area but that's not easy to be sure of from video.

It sounds like it's happening exactly when stock cars tend to let out little burbles, so it's probably an issue in the exhaust modifications you did. I know you have the stock muffler, but you must've moved stuff around to get that quad center exit. Check to make sure all your heat shields are secured, could be one of them flapping around because of the little vibrations in the exhaust that come from the little burbles. Could be something inside the muffler too.

I really don't know, just throwing out suggestions as to where I would start checking if it were me.

I second this, Go under your car while someone starts the car and rev it that way you can see if the muffler or pipes are hitting anything if theres no one around you can just go under your car and start shaking the muffler hard and seeing if theres enough play to smack something, same with midpipe.

If this fails there will be a sensor on the driver side of your car plugged into the exhaust right after the muffler, have someone Rev your car and hold at 6,000rpm in sport mode and pull the sensor attatched. This will always leave your flap open, Sometimes the flaps can malfunction.

Hope this helps
