Great information. Your expertise is definitely appreciated

Thanks for clearing some things up for me!

Another newbie question. What is the difference in PSdZData_Lite and PSdZData_Full in regards to E-Sys operation (Lite for coding only and Full for programming)? Also, will PSdZData_Full allow for coding or do you need Lite as well? Basically, is there a need to have both packages and can those package versions deviate or will that cause issues?

Full needed for Flashing new firmware on ECU (Programming). If you have Full, no need for Lite.

shawnsheridan, e-brake doesn't work properly on my F01. There is no green CAFD in SVT for EMF module. Does it mean i need to flash it? And what is difference between Read SVT(VCM) and Read Ecu?

No. You need to Inject CAFD and VO Code EMF.

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read (ECU) => Left-Click on EMF ECU => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown (bottom one) => Select OK => Right-Click on EMF ECU (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

Injecting CAFD (Detect CAF for SWE) and Flashing ECU's with >= v.4.17.20 PSdZData requires using newer E-Sys 3.30.0 or higher.

Read ECU is a live query of all ECU on system busses. Read Read SVT reads a an ECU List stored in car VCM.

To shawnsheridan,
Having just changed to Bimmer Utility I can't connect to the car.
With E-Sys 3.27, with or without using Launcher 3.7.0.315, connection via VIN works every time. Changing to 3.38 or 3.39 (either should work with BU), I only get "No ZGW available", whether I use BU or just run E-Sys. In all cases the same PC and ENET cable.
Do you have any suggestions, please.

Well, BU has zero to do with car connection only E-Sys does. So the issue lies with E-Sys 3.38 / 3.39, but if 3.27 connects, these should too, so I am not sure at all what the issue is.

A bit puzzling. I left it for a day and reinstalled E-Sys, and it now connects. BU seems more accurate than Launcher 3.7.0.315, as I can now find some FDL values for my F40 that seem to have been incorrectly labelled.

Yes, fixes some incorrect mappings and adds new mapping that was unmapped.

Overall, much improved over the last Launcher, although it feels rather cumbersome in use. However, the NCD comparison is a welcome return! This really has to be the best option at present, while hoping they keep the mapping up-to-date.
