How do you find out what boat your car is being shipped on ? I dropped my car off at the Munich airport on May 31st and my CA still has been unable to locate my ride

From what he told me it takes a couple days in the VPC and if there are any scratches or dings it can take an additional coupe days. It should only take 2 days to get here once on a transport vehicle.

I talked to them today and they scheduled me for Thursday (the 28th) morning pickup, which they will be able to confirm for sure on Monday the 25th. He told me it usually takes 5-8 days from port to be ready, so Thursday is 8 days which means he's being conservative. I'll call them Monday and see if I can squeeze it earlier. I think he scheduled Thursday to play it safe, and it sounds like it's important for them to schedule me a specific time slot rather than just letting me know as soon as it's there. Kind of frustrating I was hoping earlier in the week. Let me know how yours works out. If you get it Monday I'm gonna bring hell down on my dealer! (hah, j/k.) Good luck!

Well I talked to my guy today and asked him if he had a tentative date. He said not until he gets the car will he set a date to pick up. So at least you have a tentative date for next Thursday.
Let's just hope our cars clear customs quick (should have already on the ship) and can get through the VPC quickly and onto a truck by the weekend. |

Oh nice. That's really quick through the VPC. I thought it took a minumum of 2 days to get through that for inspection, wash, etc... and that's without any repairs needed. Now you have to wonder why it takes 4 days to get from Baltimore to our area. Those thruck drivers are slow. lol.
Did you check your VIN on the Wallenius site to see what the status shows? |
