F32 - ERROR: Chassis function restricted - drive moderately

Hey team - I couldn't find any discussions on this topic other than one that refers to someone having suspension mods performed.

I have a 2019 440i MSport with Adaptive Suspension, approx 12k miles on the car. My sister drove my car about 100 miles and at some point after the trip she turned the car back on and this error popped up on the screen.

I think she may or may not have been using Eco Mode but she said she wasn't using anything else and she did not hit anything while driving.

This was about a week after I took the car in for brake fluid maintenance. Pretty sure that would not be related.

Any thoughts? It only happened once for her and she drove another 100 miles back home without issues.

I'm out of town for a while so I won't be home until around Thanksgiving

With all the electronics on cars today its not uncommon for a random warning like that pop up and resolve itself. I wouldn't worry about it too much if it went away and hasn't come back. If it returns bring it into the dealer and have them sort it, you're under warranty.

Could well be a false positive. The car does so many scans and sometimes they kick out errors that are nothing. My 2020 F32 kicked out a CEL/misfire error, took it to the dealer, they found nothing, and it has never happened again. I even bought a Foxwell Scanner to check codes and reset the CEL if need be but, of course, haven't had any need to use it since I bought it.

Agreed on waiting to see if it reproduces or not and not to worry about it too much in the mean time.

Yeah anything can happen - you both are right. I remembered I have to go back when they get in a trim piece so I'll have them look it over when that happens.
