I-drive HD Seems dead - Which part to replace?

Hi, all. 2016 340i with 94,000 miles. In looking through a lot of forum posts, it looks like my I-drive hard drive is toast (randomly rebooted during a drive and navigation and sirius XM didn't come back. Starting the car in the morning, would hear clicking from behind the dash for several seconds). So, the question is, what exact part do I have to replace, including its model number? The screen still works, and will play regular FM stereo (and display everything relevant). Bluetooth works, but does not show any entries.

I have the Harmon/Kardon Surround Sound system with navigation and Sirius XM. On Bimmertech, I see the following numbers attached to my VIN (not sure how much of this is relevant, but figured I'd add just in case).

head_unit NBTEVO
I-Level(current) F020-15-11-503
I-Level(factory) F020-15-07-506
S609A Navigation system Professional
S645A BMW US Radio
S655A Satellite tuner
S688A Harman/Kardon Surround Sound system
S697A Area-Code 1 for DVD
S6ACA Intelligent emergency SOS call
S6AEA Teleservices
S6AKA Connected Drive Services
S6AMA Real-Time Traffic Information
S6APA Remote ServicesS6NSA Convenience phone, expanded Smartphone
S6WAA Instrument cluster, expanded equipment

Would appreciate any insight and help.

The headunit NBTEvo has to be replaced.
It’s not cheap and some things you can’t do yourself.

I understand that coding to my specific car is necessary, but will it still retain all the features I used to have?

If you buy exactly the same headunit, all functions will be retained.
Only the music stored on your old headunit will be irretrievably lost.

Sounds like a hard drive problem especially if you're hearing a click with Navigation stuck on loading all the time.

You don't necessarily need to replace the whole unit as we have been able to fix this by replacing the faulty hard drive with an SSD and carrying out the necessary programming on the QNX side.

Feel free to let us know if you need help with that.

Is there an observable improvement with SSD vs HD ? And how durable is SSD in a automobile headunit?

Thanks.

We've had customers who have used this for well over a year without any issues.

The load times for Navigation are significantly faster but aside from this, there aren't any other noticeable improvements functionality wise.

Lol, this is funny because I LITERALLY was contemplating that option because I found you guys online last night when looking for a new head unit. What's the turn around time?
