A garage and insurance.

Want to steal my car? Go for it, I'll get paid out. Hahaha.

Now I'll worry even more about my car that's parked outside in DC haha.

Where I live, it doesn't seem like thieves attempt to steal cars as much as what's inside them. So hide everything

+1 on 6MT as a theft deterrent. Story in the Washington Post the other day about car thefts and carjackings and every single one of them was an automatic. Thieves actually say they will avoid manuals or abandon them after breaking in if they see it has three pedals.

I've got the factory alarm system. And I have the keyless protective cases/bags, as on the video, which I only use when travelling abroad and leaving the vehicle out on the street at night. That's it.

That's the thing, petty thieves will only steal what they can easily sell. You can't easily sell a stolen car. You can't even easily sell parts from a stolen car, as you need tools and a place to strip it. That leaves stealing cars mainly up to pros, and they're not easily deterred.

Well, I don't live in London, so that's not something I need to worry about.

When its parked at home I have a ring flood light cam on it. Away from home I have to rely on auto insurance.

What surprises me as well is that in Europe they steal cars and export them (to the east, south, even to Asia and Africa).

But when it comes to the UK - who wants a car with the steering wheel on the wrong side!? Meaning the stolen cars there are exclusively to be taken apart and sold in parts.... how can the market for that be so big?

I've looked in the rear, both on the left side if I could connect it to the 12V outlet and on the right side where I could connect it directly to the battery, but I feel neither alternative is quite optimal.

Thanks!
