idrive options

Hi all sorry for the many questions I have been asking recently as I'm new to having idrive on my car I have owned a BMW but I didn't have idrive or anything remotely modern, my question is on the idrive there are options to change settings like the clock in 12 hour format or 24 hour format when I try to change it to 24 hour I can click on it to select it and it goes back to the clock settings screen but doesn't change the format of the time no matter how many times I try to change it this has happened to a few different options when I try to change them they refuse to change anyone had this problem or know a fix.

Thanks Matt.

Hard to exactly know what you mean, but have you pushed the iDrive controller to the right to definitely be 'on' the option and then push down to select?

I've seen people just spin the controller and push down, without realising it pushes in four directions too.

Apologies if this sounds patronising!

Strange, .. if you change the setting to show 24 hour then press the controller it should change the setting.

When you click on the 12/24h section. The font should go orange. if you then press the control wheel down. It should then lock you desired selection.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think you do pess it... When it's highlighted I think you just turn the dial to change the format don't you? Then click it to save?

If that's not right, try disabling the automatic time setting. Then try setting 24hr mode. Then re-enable auto time setting...
