VTT B58TU GC Results
This applies to you B58TU guys, we did this in our Supra, but its the same turbo for the BMW 6-Port TU guys as well.
VTT is excited to announce our B58TU GC results are finished, and we will be moving on the GC-MID, and GC+. The GC did not disappoint by hitting its rated WHP by making 603WHP/633WTQ. Just bolting the unit onto the car with no changes it picked up 80+WHP up top over the stock unit. It really started to shine once the tuning began. We also show the progression of the car, red is the stock baseline, blue is stock turbo on a very conservation BM3 E85 tune, Green is GC on that same Bm3 E85 tune, and yellow is GC on Payn E85 flex tune. As you can see the unit spool basically as quickly as the stock turbo does. We also are not ones to post dyno numbers only, we took it out for a quick dragy hit, we did one run only starting in 4th gear, and clicked off a solid 6.54 second 60-130, for you metric guys that's a 5.64 100-200. Huge thanks to Jeffrey T. Payn for the tuning, we really put this turbo through its paces clocking in at almost 65 dyno pulls. Mods are the car at the time of the dyno are as follows 2020 Supra LE
Mods after the dyno, before the 60-130. We lost one Port injector (it got stuck open) we had an EOS manifold here so instead of just swapping the injectors in the plate, we decided to install the manifold. So for the GC-mid, and GC+ testing they will be done with the above mods, and the EOS manifold. We are very excited to get these in stock so we can release them to the public. We always do torture testing on our units before we release! They can be pre-ordered here with a release date estimated at 6-90 days: https://vargasturbo.com/product/vtt-...arger-upgrade/ Any questions feel free to email Sales@vargasturbo.com |

lets see some logs with intake inlet and charge pipe outlet temps logged over a run more then 7-8 seconds (stabilization time of the stock sensors), like 0-200km should do it, or good 1/4 mile, that will tell us compressor efficiency in the car at the boost level of the run, this is really how we should compare different turbo
WGDC is also interesting, but that will depend on the housing and the exhaust turbine, so that not really comparable in most case, so form what the car can log as standard parameters we really only have the compressor efficiency that we can calculate to compare different turbos with |

Unfortunately I WAS a customer with VTT and got screwed by your support team! And DAW turbos are made in USA LOL, get your facts straight about your competition. But that does remind me .... most if not all of VTT products are made in CHHHYYYYNA (including all those turbos). That being said, you should be the last person throwing Chinese quality under the bus, as your turbos are straight from China. Last edited by f30b58pwr; 06-15-2021 at 05:28 PM.. |

@chris@vargasturbotech ..... really deleted that comment huh LOLOL ... As soon as you found out DAW is made in USA.
Anyways, for anyone wondering what my previous reply to Vargas was... since he deleted it Originally Posted by Chris@VargasTurboTech: "You mean the company drop shipping generic B58 turbos from China? I have a GC. I drove 50,000 km on it. There are no complaints about the turbine. By and large, it makes no difference where the components are produced and the product is assembled. It's another matter if they hide it.

Yes. This is Gen 1. I think this is the ultimate power and the best time for GC.
