Actually I have now. I like it, at least compared to the current competition and even compared to the E90. However I don't like it when compared to the E46, my M Coupe or many other older cars. I'm going out and shopping for a walker and some tennis balls as I seem to be reminiscing for things gone by.

This will clearly make BMW cry all the way to the bank.

Here's hoping they make xenons a stand alone option on the 328i for 2013.

Yes I did. They just sent me an email saying they take customer issues very seriously and make a point of listening to their customers. My experience with BMW is that this is true so hopefully if they get enough feedback they will make a change.
I will complain about that as well :-)
Not happy about their decision.

Yeah right, just like BMW listen to the customer's complaints about the run flat tires.

I was a bit irritated with the run flat tyres but then I got a puncture one day a long way from home on a fast A road with a distinct lack of safe stopping places to change a tyre. With the run flat, I just kept driving 'till I got to a tyre shop.
Simples.

got the halogens simply to keep the cost down. I've had 2 prior cars with sunroofs and never used them so why pay extra. If the xenons were stand alone I would have got them but for 4500 it just didn't seem worth it.

The car looks cool by itself, but next to the angel eyes, it just doesn't look as cool. I've read these posts and several threads and have come to the conclusion that I'm obsessing a bit too much about the headlights. I drive in the city pretty much exclusively and so actual lighting doesn't matter as much. As well, I wasn't cool to start with and it is unlikely that a car alone will endow such an attribute.

I'm really lovin the 6MT (the entire reason I bought the car) and have noticed that regardless of how cool I look, or admittedly, don't look, I keep passing everyone else on the highway.... somewhat unintentionally. Apparantly lack of coolness hasn't slowed the vehicle.

Next time, more money and likely xenons/angels eye. For now, I'll live..... and just drive fast....
