Someone else agrees..
Mentions it too many times but another review agreeing bmws advertised power on the 340 is a little conservative to say the least...

He wrote "Twin Scrolled Turbo" which is correct isn't it?

A bit cheesy, but I have to agree with most of his points. The new 340i probably produces more power than advertised with BMW being discreet about it.
Also one of my favourite car's features is: The door tops, for instance, are low enough that you can almost rest your elbow on them with the window glass rolled down. whilst passing slower cars

Owning a 5.6s 330d sDrive I thought that the acceleration was notably more rapid in the 440i I tested.
I have never done a 0-60 run in my life. However, I was presently surprised when overtaking and playing.

Auto Zeitung did a dyno run and came out about 346hp at the crank, so ~20 more than advertised but nothing like as much as the US guys were suggesting.
I fail to believe in 330 at the wheels, which with 18% DT loss implies around 400hp at the flywheel and the acceleration isn't of that level. It would also be very interesting to know if BMW are naughty and fettle with any of the cars before giving them to reviewers...? |

The guys in the us do seem to get some very big figures from dynos. I think 400 is a ott and I would say about 350 sounds about right.
Would be interesting to see the torque figures though as that I'm sure is more than 332 ft lb. |
