Best regards,

Gerald.

This sounds like the factory 335i brakes. Unpainted calipers (4 pot) with the 340mm fronts. I think the factory optioned "M brake kit" ( or whatever they call it) is with the blue calipers front and rear, 370mm rotor up front.

The 4 piston fronts should be Brembo, rear 1 pistons are Bosch

Wow thanks for the info, i was about to purchase these for my xdrive. Would of been disappointed if they wouldn't fit. I thought it was a simple bolt on.

Just went through the entire thread and post #36 and #44 state that the rear calipers will work with XDrive models since they use a larger diameter e-brake setup.

My experience in the post I authored was strictly limited to RWD. When I researched all the part numbers back then it looked like xi models shared the rear hub/ebrake parts with the 335. As gling pointed out, it looks like a few xi folks confirmed my suspicion with actual parts, and the 4 cyl xi models can swap rear hub/ebrake parts with 335 at least according to the posts gling noted. If that is true, Tribalpinoy, you should have a direct bolt on with an xi model. Or xdrive, or whatever bmw is calling AWD these days!

and if you want the painted caliper look that the bmw option provides, take a look at the photos I provided, those calipers are simply the grey unpainted 335 calipers with high temp primer and paint out of a rattle can, bake in the oven and use some brembo vinyl labels. You can have them powdercoated if you want but the high temp paint if prepped properly holds up great as long as you prepped for paint properly and don't drizzle brake fluid all over the calipers...

For what it's worth, thanks for all your research and comments on this topic from your other post; it is people like you that make it so much easier for folks to tinker with their cars.

Gerald.
