Hello
Ive put new LED headlights to my 2016 F80 VIN:5E68234
They fit plug and play but when I turn ignition off and turn back on they don't light back on which seams I need some coding.
Is there anyone who can help with the coding?? What option needs change or adding??
Thanks

Can someone That has the lci full led headlights help me out. I'm trying to get all the parts necessary since my headlights only came with turn signal modules. I kno I need the 3 led modules for each light plus the main control module for each but I don't know about the "led display for fan" 63117419612. Is that inside the headlight or am I missing something? When I twist the cap off the light I can see something that I think is it but I'm not sure and jus trying to figure this out. Sorry for such a dumb question. Thank you.

With original retrofit harness is very easy to be done .

U sure about that? For the lci led I thought 1 is activation flash indicator light, 2 is ground, 3 is constant power n then the rest like u said.

I let you now next week when i get it of it works.
How did you manage to get them to sell you that? What exactly did you ask for?

I asked my dealership and they said no Lol

How much did the harness set you back?

Think I found the retrofit harness, it’s this one: 61122410223. Looking at the instructions it also seems like leveling sensors are need as well, I guess you will get errors if they are not installed?

Update: It looks like the non-adaptive LEDs don't need leveling sensors, at least none are listed for S5A2A (LED headlight) so we should be good to go without.

What about coding, anyone know any specifics?

U still need sensors but the error can b coded out. I’m also interested in the VO coding for non adaptive. VO code 5A2 to fem?

Before coding the fem they would level separate n at a nice slow speed. After coding fem they would level at same time but real fast. I want them to level slow like they did before. Anyone have any suggestions. Maybe I can fdl code something for the leveling speed? I kno it’s soenthing dumb but I like it when it would level slow lol

Just so u guys know, there is a page called “eurowagens” that sells OEM looking headlights for a lot of the F-gen BMW’s, LCI And pre-facelift, also the reflector versions. Pretty much all the headlight versions, they seem to specialize themselves for F20 and F30. They’re also certified SAE, DOT and ECE so they’re road legal worldwide.
The LCI taillights r also easy to install on a non-LCI. Just switch up some wiring in the rear, just search for “LCI taillights Retrofit” and it should come up a utube video of a blue F30 with the LCI taillights, the dude that made it explained all pretty good aswell.

Post Right front headlight not working after replacement

Hello all,

I know I might not post in the right place but I couldn't find a better thread.
I replaced my right front headlight of my F31 the other day with a TYC 20-12973-05-2. After putting everything together I just realised that none of the lights work on that side.
Is there some coding required in order to make it work? I have no experience with cars, but I thought that it will be as simple as taking out the broken (original) headlight and mounting the new one.

Thank you in advance!

Cheers

Can somebody help me, I have an f31 12/2012, and I am aware about k-Can 2 signal for the led headlights. Where they are connected in the fem on the model before 07/13? As teh models before 07/13 are using the K-Can instead of the K-Can 2. Thanx
