Can anyone tell me If the 442's are forged?
Before I purchase I want to make sure that they dont weigh a ton against my existing 18" 400m's? Thanks

Ok, thanks for that.
Let's hope the reduction in tyre size compensates the additional increase in wheel size 🤞

Looks really good your motor but the 20's will ruin the ride on my vert so will give it a miss.
Got my new 442m's rims coming in on Thursday in Orbit grey fully refurbished after searching the length a breath of the country to find the right ones. 😀

442Ms look nice, I've had the Orbit Grey ones on mine since new but... they are rubbish in terms of corrosion. Had all 4 replaced for free at the 3yr warranty mark and within 2yrs, the replacements were rotting despite looking after them and never kerbing them!

Got my new wheels today and fitted them, look the business and pictures to follow.
Ride quality is ever so slightly harder but you can't really tell to be honest especially in Sport + so all good. Also I asked a question of weight between 400m 18" and 442m 19" and the 442's are 1.6kg heavier per wheel.

Took a quick photo yesterday so you can see the new wheels fitted. Transforms the car tbh, ride is slightly harder but cant really tell now, glad I didn't go for 20"s.
I'll post a few more proper photos in the main thread of members cars as I've finished (I think) transforming the car.

Interesting. I have exactly that car, but one of the wheels had a crack repaired. Struggling between getting an aftermarket set, the all-we-have M4 replicas, or getting another 416 to replace the broken one. 416 is winning definitely I want this car to be as stock as possible.

That car is identical to mine albeit without the reflector on the front bumper and mine has a rash on the nearside rear bumper where a kind motorist [obviously blind] used my car a guide in to a parking space.
I have seen 416 wheels on eBay and have been tempted to buy a set, have them refurbished and swap them for the ones on my car which frankly have seen better days - too many close encounters with a kerb. But thought I could use the money better on something else. |
