Drag Radials

Anyone running drag radials with the tpms system still active ?

Fitted some radials today and want to run around 18-19psi in the rear only but car says no !

Tried resetting tpms system with new pressures but just get there pressure low warning and car will only stay in comfort mode. Even if you turn dsc completely off as soon as you drive it reverts back to comfort.

Can any one help ?

Is there a fuse I can pull or do I need to code out tpms ?

From what I understand, is that you don’t run the TMPS sensors and just put basic tire valve stems that way it just becomes INOP and you can run the lower tire pressures without being hindered.

I run Nitto NT555R2s at 24psi. I had to code out TPMS and code in FTM (Flat Tire Monitor) using Esys (no launcher needed). I recommend to look up some tutorials on how to code with Esys.

btw should I lower my tire pressure? it's my daily driver.

Thanks yes i coded out tpms.

Regarding your tyre pressure if they are wearing evenly at that pressure i wouldnt worry if they are your primary tyres.
i use radials only for added traction at 1/4mile drag strips and was told to start at 20psi and if still losing lots of traction lower 1 pound. With m&h racemaster camber tyres i found 18psi hot is best for traction, without being to brutal on the drive terrain.
