I dont know if you remember, that I didnt manage to have the bmw gps antenna working as you can see from the below post:

Also, I have not experienced any no-signal since I only use ugode antenna.

I will make a video in the next 2 hours and will upload to myairbridge.
Should I send it to Louie email?

sorry removed the link from forum, because it contained personal information.

The scenario is load app, select a saved location and start navigation. 1st video with google maps and 2nd with waze.

Yes, it is the same like the update file from aliexpress store seller (I got a copy from another aliexpress buyer and compared them)

I've send an email to Louie with the issues I have with the unit.

1. Bluetooth audio is absolutely rubbish
2. Waze is extremely slow and it doesn't have audio guidance if I start it immediately after the boot sequence. If I wait a few minutes, most of the times is OK
3. Spotify to automatically start after the boot sequence. The same for noozxoide eizo, this is a really good audio processor.
4. Audio shutters while driving. This is getting annoying

Sounds like you unis is terribly busy with something...
audio can be connected with waze. If waze is having issuesand causes high porcessor load, music stutters because of that.
any apps loading automatically that can cause high load?

That's the issue, the only app installed on my unit is Waze. I have factory reset my unit several times already, always updating after each release, nothing is helping.
The issue with the sound shuttered is happening no matter what app I'm using for audio - music playing from usb, bluetooth from android or iPhone, Spotify app installed on the unit (this was removed after a few weeks of usage). After the boot sequence, the music shutters for one minute or so, than every 5 minutes for 5-10 seconds. It's really annoying.
I have also disabled multiple app, like bluetooth, goodgle apps, download manager, etc. Same issue every time...

the first minute when the unit is booting and all processes are initializing, there is some sluggishness but after that its reasonably smooth. I listen to DAB and that is unbuffered so it does occasionally stutters but thats a reception thing im sure.
I start waze directly after boot and only when its starting it stutters a bit both totally acceptable.
On long drives, Waze sometimes spontaneously hangs and quits.... restarting waze (in weird cases 2 times) solves that.
Waze also sometimes forgets the settings which is very annoying... No idea why it does that.

Im going to make a video as well. GM doesnt even start properly due to excessive load... it hangs within a minute.

The issue I have with Waze I think it could be from the Ugode GPS antenna. Maybe it takes longer to lock the position comparative with the BMW GPS antenna that you are using. Because the position it's not locked, it affects the waze audio? Doesn't make sense, I know.
I still think I'm the only one having this issue, as no one else reported.

Well, I need to change my GPS antenna anyway (didnt have the time yesterday) but I dont think its GPS related.
Driving in the mountains during my holiday in Italy, GPS was lost when going thru tunnels. Waze cant handle this and crashes often but audio (mp3 playback) was ok.
Really annoying btw that Waze crashes that often.. I had my Idrive navi behind it so I could still navigate but thats not how it should work.
Even Tomtom knows when there is a tunnel and coninues with tha last data untill new data is received to cope with this. Waze simply suddenly thinks your in another part of the world and starts to re-route... and again and again...

I am having problems not signal and today sent me store aliexpress email asking and that GPS antenna I am using .... the news flying ..

Stll, it should be possible to use a splitter but with an additional resistance or something right.
The signal is WAY better on the bmw antenna than a small one behind the dash...

Yep, tie that one in before the ugode connection and that should be it right?
im not a complete electrical noob but I dont know if this will f-up the signal as well...

Quick question... Wayz sounds problematic. why don't you load a different nav app and see how that performs? I'm using iGO with a GPS splitter and have had zero No Signal issues (on the replacement device).

Also, I have seen the non BM GPS receiver mounted high on the inside of the windscreen with the cable run through the head liner and down inside the pillar cover to the Android unit. Might get a better signal than having the receiver mounted under the dash?

Waze, in function and being up to date, is superior to others in my opinion and was performing perfectly. (it also is a daughter company of google by the way...

)
On a day to day basis with short drives it still is I think.
GM is to demanding on both graphical as well as dataload I think.
I really hate additions on my windscreen screaming aftermarket...
I even think that the BMW system can cope with a slower signal since it uses the car speedometer as well. aftermarkets can only handle spot-on signals it seems...

Have you tested the getting into the car and not starting for a minute or so to see if the no-signal occurs?

Waze was the reason why I bought the unit and it's much better than GM...
Switching to another nav app it's not an option for me.
