Depends what discs/pads are being used, I remember the genuine BMW being extortionately priced, loads of threads on here with the various options for the blue m sport brakes

vadimo, the quote for the front rotors, pads, and brake pad wear sensor appears to be very reasonable: 399 pounds = about $566 USD.

2 front 2-piece rotors (370x30mm) from Zimmermann will cost about $320 + $120 for OEM pads + $15 for the brake pad wear sensor. The total for parts alone = $465 USD. So the labor is only one hour at most? That's very competitive.

What parts are included in the quote? OEM? Something else?

What I used to do was buy the genuine parts from Cotswold BMW because they offer a discount and free delivery then just pay the labour to fit at an Indy.

That's a decent price DEPENDING on the brand of discs/pads in question.

I think BMW will charge over £1000 for M Sport front & rear.

I changed mine myself for just over £500 all in, using Brembo X stuff, probably save another £100 using ordinary Brembo.

If it's reputable brake manufacturer, Brembo, Mintex, Ferrodo etc or OEM, then it's a decent price all-in.

i been told rear disks are fine but given that front ones are getting to 70% wear plus front and rea pads need changing, shall i also change the rear disks?

I wouldn't change tyres when they are 70% worn, do you have money to burn?

parts wise you're looking at £500-£600 depending on the brand so fitted that's a good price to have someone do it for you IMO

Not necessarily as rears wear at a different rate due to brake bias, only thing would be excessive corrosion due to age.

Check that you're getting 2-piece discs for that price, because if you're not careful they might be quoting you for one piece steel discs which are half the price and not as good

So i shopped around for prices average was £1k.

S i ended up with highly rated BMS Surrey, changing all 4 disks and brakes incl sensors, total was £850 plus brake fluid a £54 which was overdue.

They used Textar.

Not sure those guys manage to keep up yearly 5/5 star ratings
