The lights worked 100%...were you guys using new harness when installing the lights or you run the extra wires from the inner lights and tap them into the REM? i think that would be the reason why i didnt need coding...i tap them into exisiting wires in the REM
What existing wires did you tap into?

The inner tail in the pre LCI don’t have the lights that the LCI has right? So I add a wire on each side, run in through the inner panels to the rem and tap them into the wires that powered the outter lights

This way the inner lights will turn on when the outter lights are on

Thanks, can you share what wires power the outer lights in the REM module?

Also, any advice/steps when doing this on F36, e.g. boot trim removal?

i will take a picture of the REM for you

for the f36, its a pain in the ass...there are too many panels to take off in order to run the wires down to the REM. I ran the wire through the tailgate, pass the rubber boot, to the passenger side trim above the seat and then to the REM

my only advice is that you need to be patient because you dont want to break anything
other than that just remove all the screws and clips, and take them off one by one...

so that is not related to coding

what harness did you use to install the lights? It will required you to run a separate wire to the REM unit from the light
Question - I installed the lights, but I haven’t run the inner light wire to the REM unit because I don’t have those small connector pins to put in the wire. These are really hard to find, is it possible to just splice into the outer light wire and connect the inner wire directly to the outer wire turn signal?
