The door locks rattle. I know you can fix it with Velcro or something similar but come on. You spend this much for a car and the door locks rattle? Unacceptable for a BMW!

I agree with this, my wife MB does, i'm surprised this one doesn't. Also, how light the doors feel, my 2014 MB (German built) seems to be built like a tank. When you close the doors you feel that is a solid car, unlike this 2016 340, sounds and feel like a japanese econobox.

the transitions between steering/speed boost and ratio settings in mid corner. Very 'klunky'. I've had an F22 235 and it was much smoother in changing steering boost etc in mid corner.

Mind you I also really hate the fact that the steering is boosted at all let alone 'variable'. I don't have overcooked spaghetti for arms.

The height of the seat vs the top of the door. I like leaving my arm on the door but in this car, it's as uncomfortable as hell for some reason...(yes, I adjust seat height etc.). It's just a terrible angle for me. The seats are a bit narrow for me and I'm only 5'9/175. Pedal height is a bit weird for me on long drives in stop/go driving too. Okay, that was 3 things lol.

Good point. My GTI had that and our Tiguan has it and its a nice little feature. There is probably an option for that with the F30 called 'Sun visor luxury package' for a cool $1800...

Seriously, they couldn't have spent $5 on a plastic push button for the center console?!

Dislike that there's no "turn on annoying passenger-'shut-up'-with-driving-advice" button.

Yes the BMW tends to brake late.
Yes the BMW takes turns 'at speed' through the apex to exit.
etc etc etc

Yeah, how could I forget that? I took my car with M Sport brakes in last week, they chamfered/lubricated and it is already squealing again and I am taking it back in next week for the shop foreman exam/drive. I love this car but hate that I sound like an old dump truck at intersections.

The hard armrests on the doors. After a long drive, your elbow gets sore.

That there are small design faults that BMW recognizes but do nothing about and simply say it's normal.

very poor sound proofing, terrible reflections on side glass and windshield at night off gauges, retarded placement of steering wheel heater button, car almost stalls on start up and dealer says n.f.f. been in 5 times same story, needs a rubber seal all around the engine compartment so it doesn't get so dirty, look at the 4, 5 6 and 7, they all have it, whoops sorry, The ONLY thing I hate about my car is the dealership mechanics who don't give a damn about me or my car!!! They really suck at there job. This is at Calgary bmw south and north location... idiots...

Agree with a lot that already has been said!

For me, I'll often have the key fob in a bag that I throw into the back seat. Happens anytime anyone is riding along. When getting out of the car to retrieve the bag, the rear doors are locked. Because of this, I have to crawl all the way back into the cabin to hit the unlock button. Why can't it be on the doors like every other car? Pretty annoying.

I'll also add:

Best feature that I didn't expect to love as much as I do: the 360 parking camera. Keeps the wheels off the curbs!

Most useless feature: the front traffic cameras.

Electric Steering and suspension, Climate control system (not really auto if I have to set the intensity), Steering wheel controls on wrong side as state from someone else. Seats are too hard. I have sport seats but they should have a bit more give. Recently read a review of 4 cylinder comparison. $399 lease. Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, Cadillac, Volvo, Jaguar and BMW. BMW came in second to the last if I remember correctly. How the mighty have fallen. Really a shame. BMW is no longer a premium car in my opinion. Just compare dealerships. Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, Jaguar all feel premium from the time you walk in. BMW on the other hand feels like any other run of the mill domestic dealership. At lease in my area. I have owned BMW's almost exclusively for the past 20+ years and have had some of their best products. E30, E36, E46, E39, E53, F30. E30, E46 and E39 are by far the best products I have owned. I would say the F30 is dead last in what I have owned from the brand.

this is my biggest hatred too. i can't wait to swap the pads out. the stock brakes on this car are awful noisy and dusty.

The bane of vss. I personally hate the wide dead on center. They really need to narrow that to ~2 degrees each way from center
