ORIGINAL POST

2015 428i M Sport
  • Black Sapphire Metallic
  • Oyster Leather
  • Anthracite Trim
  • Satin Chrome Trim Finishers
  • 19" 442M Wheels
  • Comfort Access
  • Sunroof
  • Connected Services
  • Pro Nav
  • DAB
  • M Adaptive Suspension
  • Bunch of other stuff that I think is standard in Aus.

I've just installed the M4-look Performance Grilles and De-badged the rear. I also have the grilles sitting at home to remove the Fog Lights because they look poxy.

Planning to do:
  • Wheels
  • Springs
  • Exhaust
  • Diffuser
  • Spoiler
  • Splitter
  • Tint
  • Upgrade Sound System (It's got Hi-Fi at the moment.)

Going to stay away from CF on this one (unlike last couple ) and not planning any engine mods for the foreseeable future.

Have only driven it 20 kms so far but damn its a nice place to be...

I guess if you're removing the fogs you didn't option the adaptive headlights?

Congrats on the new car, the F3x cars are a big step up in comfort from the E82 and still a great car to drive with spirit. I never looked back after trading mine three years ago.

Thanks guys.

Nope. No Adaptive Headlights on this one. Had them on the 1M and wasn't that impressed.

Congrats! Car looks sweet.
If I didn't have kids that would so be my car

Quick question: any tips on debadging? Wouldn't mind doing it on mine too.

Debadging is easiest done with a heat gun and a piece of fishing line.

Wave the heat gun over the badge for a couple of minutes. Keep it moving. Never point it at just one spot.

After that just slide the fishing line in between the badge and the car and it will just fall off.

Use eucalyptus oil or citrus spray to clean off the residue.

Make sure you give it a bit of polish when you're done because the heat and cleaner will strip all your existing wax off.

Yeah. That's the way I'm leaning at the moment but it will depend on diffuser as well. I want to go with the 435i M Performance one - 2 pipes one each side) rather than 4...

I'm on the same boat much rather the 2 pipes over the 4, I've spoken to Eisenmann and they are releasing a 228i exhaust towards the end of this year, but it definitely won't be cheap so I'm contemplating the M235i M performance exhaust. Both exhausts will give us a louder bang on the upshift, similar to the DSG/DCT units. (assuming you have the ZF8)

I will be ready to buy towards Dec so maybe we can buy two from the states or Europe and ask for a little bit of a discount?

If you want to listen to an M Perf exhaust we can catch up some time.

MikeVictor That sounds great. The M Performance Exhaust is the other one at the top of my list.

Yeah. I'm still looking at options but coming from a 1M with resonator+cat delete and Remus rear section I'm not sure I can wait that long

Ticket price on this one with Options and all the LCT/Stamp Duty/Dealer Delivery etc was $107k.

With my Corporate Package, EOFY Deal, history with the Dealership etc I got it for substantially less than that...

Looks fantastic. What sound system upgrade are you considering? I picked up my F30 328i M Sport a few weeks back and it only has Hi Fi as well. Starting to look at options.

At this point I'm thinking the following:

BavSound Stage 1 Speakers

BimmerTech Premium Audio Amp

New enclosure for my JL Audio 10w6v3 Sub to go under the boot floor

Reuse my Kenwood XR600-1 Competition Monoblock Amp.

Excuse the newb question, but how do you go about fitting the tweeters when there aren't existing ones?
