I needed to get the splitter sprayed gloss black so I asked the body shop to fit it for me. I had the reiger one, not the maxton, it came pre drilled to Bach the existing holes on the underside of the bumper, the remaining holes required some drilling and pop rivets. Didn't look like a hard job to do but was just easier to get done at the body shop.

Yeah, it was snowing on my way back from the body shop. Luckily I left my winters on so no worries 👍

For those interested, it turns out that the side extensions are the same for all 3 variants of the 4 series.

Only thing I don't get is how to fit them. If you jack the car up, how do you fit them due to the jack / puck?

They sit just in front of the jack point so its not too difficult. If you feel the edge of the existing sill panels these should match up to that edge.

Plenty of 3M tape and self tapping screws 12" apart along the length.

Ok, further to my previous post I spoke with a dealer who is adamant that the F32 and F36 side extensions are different. The boy I spoke to did seem a bit clueless tho.

The side skirts rocker panel appears to be identical between the 2 cars, which would suggest that the extensions would also be identical but now this lad has me questioning it. I'll prob just order a set and see for myself unless anyone knows for sure one way or another? Should prob ask this in the main forum to get a bigger audience?

Do you have the part numbers for the splitter you choose?

Theres a bunch of different ones on the website.......And Bigyin1314: You wrote you had it sprayed gloss black? Didn't it come in Gloss black or was it just prepped?

You want FRONT SPLITTER V.1 BMW 4 F32 M-PACK, they come in 3 different finishes and also you can add a coloured stripe if you wish.
Bigyin1314 has a Reiger or a different make lip which is why it's been painted iirc.

Hi, I have written to Maxton and asked them if the side panels fits both F32 and F36

They will tell you they don't know as they have only ever trial fitted against a F32. (I already asked). As it happens, I bought a set and offered them up last night. There's a little ridge in them that matches the f36, I haven't fitted them yet (this weekends job) but a quick offer up suggests it'll be fine.

And let us know if the fitment gave you any problems :-)

Well I fitted the skirts today, they went in without a hitch, fit is very good. Took me about 30mins each side. I'll get some pics up once she's had a clean and looking her best 👍

Yea looks great.
How are they fitted? In existing holes or do you have to make new ones?
And we're they painted at delivery?
