Smile First audio upgrade suggestions

So I have a 2014 328ix with S676A HiFi speaker system any suggestions on what would be a first good audio upgrade ? I did some digging but could not end up deciding between an amp or speaker upgrade. Suggestions for both would help. Thanks!

There's nothing wrong with the speakers. The amp is weak and lacks adequate EQ. That's where there's room for improvement, but it doesn't come cheap. There's quite a few threads about that.

What Billfitz said.

Get an amp upgrade, listen critically and then go from there.

+1...first hand experience in my X3 with same hi-fi factory setup you have: installed a used first generation BimmerTech DSP amp (PP82DSP) and the improvement in audio Quality/definition was really stellar. Even better after I tweaked the stock X3 tune files supplied by BimmerTech.

Good luck/Bill

So $800 - $1000 to upgrade the amp?
