Cat piss

I've noticed the local moggys seem to the using my rear bumper as somewhere to mark their territory. How much damage can cat piss do to paintwork?

In the long run - it probably can do damage.
Buy some special cat pee cleaning sprays. They biologically kill the origin of the smell which makes cats mark again and again. Just washing the car thoroughly will probably not help.

I thought all BMW paint finished were lacquered then cats pee surely would not effect the paint as such? If it marked to lacquer I guess that could be polished out.
I can recall that in the days of yore e.g. Ford Mondeos were not neccessarily lacquered and parked under say a cherry tree the top coat could be stripped to the undercoat.
A patchwork job like!
Yes! It happened to me! Every been really annoyed?

It doesn't do as much damage as it does inside the car.

Ask your local detail shop.

A couple of years ago, my cat got into it with something... maybe a fox or raccoon... and needed an emergency trip to the vet. My wife couldn't find a carrier, so she just tossed him in my car and took off. Along the way, he freaked out, and pooped and sprayed all over the back seat.

She called me after dropping him off at the vet, saying the smell was so bad she could barely stop herself from throwing up and she was taking it for a full interior detail "because if I don't, you're going to have to throw away your car."

Four hours later, the interior looked and smelled like new. The shop promised to do it again for free if the smell persisted, but we never had to go back.

Bottom line: ask the detail shop... and tip handsomely.

You could get some Lions pee, a liberal dab in the area near your car should keep them away.

Or.......

Lion shit pellets worked for a while then stopped. I put some cayenne pepper down having failed that. It's cruel as when it gets into their eyes it can be painful but it's better than me becoming a cat killer and even wards off foxes.

Citrus smelling car wash. Cats hate citrus, that's why they sell citrus jelly to keep cats away from driveways.
Or you can get one of those battery powered ultrasonic cat scarers and point it towards your car.

Don’t have an answer for the cat pee issue but would vouch for the ultrasonic repellent gadgets.

I picked some up from Amazon (for around £30 If I remember correctly) as not long after picking up the BMW our own cat decided to start jumping onto the bonnet.

After chasing him off the once I noticed a couple of small scratches in the lacquer were he has scrambled to get off

Siince using the ultrasonics he has stopped. You need to keep an eye on them as the first battery ran down fairly quick but worth the investment in my mind.

Your own piss keeps away cats and foxes.

Don't have to walk round with your cock out frightening (or not) the neighbours. Just use a spray bottle and piss into it. Might need to spray the floor around the area a few times over a couple of weeks. Then they find somewhere else to go.

Annoyed my wife (which is an added bonus) but it worked on cats and foxes in my garden.

I bought something similar to the above. They don't work. The cat proved it by doing it's business a few meters away from it.
Anecdotal evidence but who can argue with that.

My car is 2015 435 grand coupe
How can I make the fog light on with the angle lights only? I need to make the angle lights run very bright like in the day time, Without headlights.

Is that can be done through the Bimmer code with i car pro obd?

Thanks for all the tips. Car cleaned and no cats since so hopefully they'll not bother any more.
