Yes. Running the original RDC now. Packed the new one up just in case the seller accepts returns.
Thank you for your help. You're a champ.

Hi atzebmw
I am hoping that you can guide me as well.

On my 2016 model X3 F25 I keep getting Tyre pressure monitor (RDC) failure few minutes after startup. I have checked the tyre pressure manually and its perfectly fine. Online search suggested that it could be sensor battery issue but i can't seem to confirm that via Rheingold software.

I read the fault codes using Rheingold and after doing the scan RDC is shown in RED colour under the Control Unit Tree section. Does it mean that the ECU for RDC is faulty?

There are many fault codes relating to RDC which I am listing below

S 0296 - No communication possible with Tyre pressure monitor
D018EB - Message (RDC Tyre status. 280.0.8) missing, receiver ICM, transmiter RDC
D018EA - Message (RDC Tyre status. 280.0.8) out-of-date, receiver ICM, transmiter RDC
E114A0 - No message (status, tyre RDC 0x368) receiver KOMBI transmitter RDC
E114A2 - Message (status, tyre RDC 0x368) not current, receiver KOMBI transmitter RDC

I am bit lost here. Any advise on how to proceed with testing and changing the RDC sensors (if required) will be very much appreciated?

This is such an error message where you don't find any solution in the internet.
The only solution for that seems to flash the ecu.
But i don't believe it, because the ecu is new.
If you want, i can make some test with different E-Sys versions and psdzdata.
For that i need your FA file and the SVT_Ist file.
Hello, i am currently trying to do the same thing with an RDC module i bought from a used car.

I receive the same error and i have tried with both E-Sys 3.40.2 and 3.30.x.

Could you give me an advice on what i should try next?

If ecu doesn`t belong to this car you will need to correct your fa.

Hello, do you mean adding the 2VB option into FA?
I did that first, now i can see it in the list when i read the FA.
I also tried using full psdzdata, still no CAFD file found.

It is not my first retrofit, i also did an electric towing hitch and paddle shifts, worked fine, but this RDC module i believe it is not from an F30, though the code matches on RealOEM.

I have also found some info that suggests i should be flashing the ECU, as the RDC module does not have a CAFD file.

Don`t need to flash just to inject cafd with correct fa
