Basically you don't need even to touch the plastic covers.

but here is closer look without covers

So I did a 30 min driving on sport mode (93 octane Shell V-Power). Do I like it ? I f***g love it
Totally another pull ! (with default 3.5psi !!!). The torque is much more "longer" and not in mid range but from the "begging to the end" you feel that strong pull very well !!!!
Now I walking around the car with a screw driver like a maniac to convince myself try max 4.5

JB+ is the best $199 I spend it on my car.
That's an easy install did you disconnect the battery?

Installed

With a newborn baby, any type of "project" is pretty much impossible. This JB+ was exactly what I was looking for as free time is pretty much non existent. This was so quick and easy to install, I was able to get this done while "taking tha garbage out". .

With pictures and all, this took about 15mins. Note this is also my 1st time really getting a good look under the hood. Again, newborn baby...

Unfortunately 15mins was all I had tonight, so I didn't get to go for a drive. Will go for a diaper run tomorrow and let you all know about the performance. Attached some pics in the meantime. Hope this helps.

With the 2016 B58, I had to take the cover off (just pops right up) and the TMAP sensor is the left (wider) sensor in the pic. Hope this helps.

No.
Open hood lock the car. Wait 10 min. Move the key far from the car (to avoid waking her up). Plug it...

The above should work well to put car to sleep, but if ever in doubt just unplug battery.

I did mine on car but I'd recommend taking it off to not drop in any screws or pieces in the engine bay. Ask me how I know

You can do either, but it might be easier with it removed.

Once you hit that 3k rpm range, it's awesome. I feel like there's a lot more power in the day to day range. Well worth the money and time for this product.

I'm interested in ordering the JB+.

I'm assuming the unit's firmware will always be upgradeable as updates are released - will the hardware change at all when it comes out of beta?

There are no plans for firmware updates, and there is no end user way to flash new firmware onto the chip. There is no USB/BT hookup on the JB+ the way there is on the JB4 systems. This is a super simple PNP unit.
